Best Places to Watch Happily Ever After

April 17, 2023
By

With the conclusion of Walt Disney World’s 50th-anniversary celebration, the fan-favorite fireworks show Happily Ever After has returned to the Magic Kingdom!  The show features the same beloved soundtrack but has new enhancements, including projections along Main Street.  Here are a few great locations to view the fireworks.

The Hub

The most popular viewing area is the hub right in front of Cinderella Castle.  Here, you’ll get the best view of the castle projections.  However, you’ll have to stake out a spot early, and it does get very crowded here.

Main Street

Cinderella Castle is still the focal point of Happily Ever After, but the new projections along Main Street will make you feel immersed in the show.  This spot can get packed too, so you’ll need to arrive early.

Dessert Party

With the dessert party, you’ll get a reserved viewing area and a dessert buffet!  There are three different options for the dessert party.  All offer the same desserts.

  1. Seats & Sweets: Enjoy your desserts at a table on the patio of Tomorrowland Terrace, and catch the show from your seats.  It’s $114 for adults and $69 for children ages 3 to 9.
  2. Pre-Party: Eat your treats at a table in Tomorrowland Terrace before the fireworks and then head to the Plaza Garden for your reserved fireworks viewing spot.  It’s $99 for adults and $59 for children ages 3 to 9.
  3. After-Party: View the fireworks from the Plaza Garden and then enjoy desserts at a table in Tomorrowland Terrace.  It’s $99 for adults and $59 for children ages 3 to 9.

Monorail Resorts

Fireworks from California Grill at the Contemporary

There are great fireworks viewing areas at the Contemporary and Bay Lake Tower, the Polynesian, and the Grand Floridian!  From Top of the World Lounge at Bay Lake Tower to the Marina at the Grand Floridian, these locations offer lighter crowds.  Plus, many of them pipe in the soundtrack.  The only downside is that you won’t be able to see the castle projections.

Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise

This cruise allows you to watch the fireworks from the Seven Seas Lagoon and enjoy some treats and specialty drinks!  It’s $99 for adults and $69 for children ages 3 to 9.  Note that this option is unavailable from March 30 to July 5, 2023 due to refurbishments.
