Watching Fireworks from Disney’s Polynesian Resort

April 21, 2025
By

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and the Polynesian Villas & Bungalows are popular for their South Pacific theming and proximity to the Magic Kingdom.  Located across the Seven Seas Lagoon from the theme park, the resort has nice views of the Magic Kingdom fireworks.  Here are the best spots to watch the fireworks from the Polynesian!

Polynesian Island Tower (NEW!)

The all-new Polynesian Island Tower adds another incredible vantage point to the resort. For a truly memorable evening, we recommend heading to Wailulu Bar and Grill about an hour before showtime. Grab a tropical drink or a light bite, enjoy the relaxed vibes, and then walk down to the beach just before the fireworks begin. It’s one of our new favorite ways to end the night at Disney—and you’ll quickly see why.

The Beach

A great spot to catch the Magic Kingdom fireworks is the beach along the Seven Seas Lagoon.  Note that on holidays like New Year’s Eve and the Fourth of July, this beach is often only available to guests staying at the Polynesian.

Another good location to view the fireworks is the dock where the ferries to the Magic Kingdom depart.  The dock is located just to the side of the beach and offers a similar view of the Magic Kingdom. As with the beach, there are speakers, so you can hear the fireworks soundtrack.

The Bungalows

Each of the stunning two-bedroom bungalows are located over the Seven Seas Lagoon with views of the Magic Kingdom.  Guests can watch the fireworks from their private decks, which have a plunge pool and speakers to pipe in the fireworks soundtrack!

Preferred View Deluxe Studios

Preferred View Deluxe Studios are all in the Moorea longhouse and face the Magic Kingdom.  These studios will have a fireworks view from their balconies.  The studios on the second and third floor are just high enough to spot the Magic Kingdom above the Bungalows, so they have a view of Cinderella Castle and Space Mountain off in the distance.

‘Ohana

If you book a later dining reservation at this fan favorite all-you-care-to-eat restaurant, you may be able to catch the fireworks since some of the window seats face the Magic Kingdom.  The restaurant even plays the soundtrack.  ‘Ohana bread pudding and fireworks are a great way to end the day!
