The time you should book your DVC villa will vary depending on resort and the time of year that you are traveling. We always recommend that you should try to book as soon as the 11 month window opens. The times below are only guidelines and should not be considered a guarantee of availability.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom

All Villas – 11 Months Out
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas is a larger resort with a good sized DVC member base. This leads to generally quicker booking than at some other resorts.

Bay Lake Tower at Contemporary Resort

Disney’s Bay Lake Tower is a very popular resort given it’s proximity to the Magic Kingdom. These typically sell out quickly.
Beach Club Villas
Recommended Booking Windows:
All Villas – 10 Months
Food & Wine – 11 Months
Disney’s Beach Club Villas is a small resort with a small DVC member base. Booking a stay at Beach Club Villas may be difficult.
Boardwalk Villas
Recommended Booking Window:
All Villas – 11 Months
Disney’s Boardwalk Villas may be a good choice for you if you desire proximity to Epcot and Hollywood Studios.
Old Key West Resort
Recommended Booking Windows:
“Near Hospitality House” Villas – 8-9 Months Prior
Standard Villas – 3-5 Months Prior
Disney’s Old Key West Resort is a larger resort with generally good availability. The size of the villas are the largest accommodations at WDW.
Polynesian Villas and Bugalows
Recommended Booking Windows:
Studio Villas and Bungalows – 10-11 Months Prior
Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows only offers studio villas and bungalows. It is a very popular resort with a small DVC member base making it one of the more difficult resorts to reserve.
Saratoga Springs
Recommended Booking Windows:
Treehouse Villas – 8 Months Prior
All other Villas – 2-3 Months Prior
Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is a large resort with generally good availability. It has become much more desirable due to it’s proximity to the Disney Springs entertainment complex.
Grand Floridian
Recommended Booking Window:
All Villas – 11 Months Prior
The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is a smaller resort with a small DVC member base. Booking here may be difficult.
Boulder Ridge at Wilderness Lodge
Recommended Booking Window:
All Villas – 10 Months Prior
Copper Creek Villas
Recommended Booking Window:
All Villas – 10-11 Months
Copper Creek Villas is a smaller resort with a small DVC member base. It’s popularity and size makes it difficult to book. With the same location, you may find Boulder Ridge Villas to be a better choice for quicker booking.
Hilton Head Island Resort

All Villas – 9 Months
Spring/Summer – 11 Months
Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort will generally have good availability during the off-season. It is extremely difficult to reserve from early Spring to late Fall.
Vero Beach Resort

Disney’s Vero Beach Resort will generally have good availability during the off-season. It is extremely difficult to reserve from early Spring to late Fall.
Aulani Hawaii Resort

The Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is a smaller resort with a small DVC member base. Booking here is difficult past the 10-11-month mark.
