Watching Fireworks from Bay Lake Tower
Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort is about as close as you can get to the Magic Kingdom. This also means that the resort has some great fireworks views! From restaurants to villas, here’s where you can watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks from Bay Lake Tower:
Top of the World Lounge – A Villain’s Lair
DVC members who are eligible for Membership Extras and staying at a Disney resort can visit Top of the World Lounge. The lounge is located on the top floor of Bay Lake Tower and has an observation deck that’s perfect for viewing fireworks at the Magic Kingdom. Walk-ups are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Alternatively, you can make reservations for the Wicked Wind Down appetizer, drink, dessert, and fireworks package, the Enchantment at the Top dessert party, or the Bound to Be Bad villain-themed dessert party.
If you are not eligible for Top of the World Lounge, you can dine at California Grill. Located on the top of the Contemporary, California Grill is a signature restaurant with beautiful views of the Magic Kingdom. When it’s time for the fireworks, you can either watch from your table or head out to the observation deck.
Near the Sky Bridge
The Sky Bridge between the fifth floor of Bay Lake Tower and the fourth floor of the Contemporary as well the platform by the Contemporary side of the bridge provide nice fireworks views. Even better, you can hear the fireworks soundtrack from this location.
Theme Park View Villas
Bay Lake Tower is one of the few DVC resorts that offers a specific Theme Park View booking category. This means that you can view Magic Kingdom fireworks from your balcony! Theme Park View rooms start at 18 points a night for a Deluxe Studio during the cheapest travel period and go up to 207 points a night for a Three Bedroom Grand Villa during Christmas or Easter. Be sure to tune in to channel 105 on your television to get the fireworks soundtrack.
Some Standard and Lake View Villas
While Theme Park View rooms are the only ones guaranteed to have a view of the Magic Kingdom, some Standard and Lake View villas at Bay Lake Tower have partial theme park views. For instance, some even-numbered Standard View and Lake View rooms on the North Side of the resort have partial views of the Magic Kingdom from their balconies.
