When Does Disney’s Starlight Parade Begin? Magic Kingdom’s NEW Nighttime Spectacle
The long-awaited return of a nighttime parade at Magic Kingdom is finally here! Disney has just announced that Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away will debut on July 20th, 2025, bringing a spectacular blend of classic characters, new favorites, and nighttime magic to Main Street, U.S.A.
Parade Showtimes and Viewing Schedule
While official showtimes have yet to be announced, past nighttime parades like Main Street Electrical Parade and SpectroMagic typically ran once or twice nightly—often scheduled around the evening fireworks show.
We expect Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away may follow a similar schedule, potentially occurring before or after the nightly fireworks. Be sure to check back soon for official showtimes as they are released.
A First Look at the Disney Starlight Parade Poster
No Disney parade announcement is complete without a poster, and this one sets the tone beautifully. The artwork features glowing constellations, swirling light, and teases both classic and modern Disney characters. Look for this dreamy design to take its place beneath the Main Street train station soon.

Disney Starlight Parade Floats and Characters
The Blue Fairy and the First Star of the Night
The parade opens with the majestic Blue Fairy, her glowing wand casting the first star of the evening—a tribute to the iconic Disney fireworks narration and a whimsical kickoff to the dream-filled journey ahead.

Coco Float Featuring Miguel and Pepita
A brand-new float themed to Coco will dazzle guests with bold colors, mariachi music, and glowing marigold bridges. Miguel will perform live on guitar while a radiant Pepita spreads her wings above the crowd.

Encanto Makes Its Parade Debut
Isabela Madrigal swings onto the parade route—literally—surrounded by lush, blooming vines and joined by her family members on a vibrant Encanto float. It’s the first time the film is represented in a Magic Kingdom parade.

Moana’s Ocean Adventure on Parade
Moana sails through a glowing ocean surrounded by luminous waves, Pua, HeiHei, and the manta ray spirit of Gramma Tala. This float is designed to be a visually stunning highlight of the parade.

The Return of Disney Princesses
A whimsical float inspired by Mary Blair’s artistic style will showcase Disney Princesses with their royal partners:
- Aurora & Prince Phillip
- Tiana & Prince Naveen
- Belle & Beast
- Cinderella & Prince Charming

Accompanied by a royal court of dancers, this section brings a touch of nostalgia and elegance, nodding to the Main Street Electrical Parade.
First Look at Final Parade Float
Disney shared a first look at the finale float that will close out Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away. The inspiration for the float is none other than the Main Street Electrical Parade train. It will feature a procession of Disney moments, including Goofy, Pluto, Donald, Daisy, Snow White with Dopey, Rapunzel with Flynn Ryder, Aladdin with Jasmine, and, of course, ending with Mickey and Minnie.

Why Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away Is a Must-See
“Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away” is more than just a parade—it’s a long-overdue revival of one of Magic Kingdom’s most beloved traditions. By combining technological innovation with timeless storytelling, it celebrates everything fans love about Disney nighttime entertainment.
From dazzling floats to heartfelt music, this parade is expected to become an instant classic and a must-see for guests visiting in 2025 and beyond.
