New Details Revealed for Disney Starlight: Magic Kingdom’s Nighttime Parade!
The excitement continues to build as Walt Disney World prepares to debut its brand-new nighttime parade, Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away, at Magic Kingdom this summer! First announced at the D23 Parks Panel in August 2024, this parade promises to carry on the legacy of nighttime entertainment, blending classic Disney magic with cutting-edge technology.
Now, Disney has released new details, including first-look concept art, a new official poster, and exciting character appearances that will bring Main Street, U.S.A. to life like never before. Let’s take a closer look at what’s in store!
A First Look at the Official Disney Starlight Poster
Every great Disney parade comes with a beautifully designed poster, and Disney Starlight is no exception. This artwork will soon take its place among Magic Kingdom’s iconic posters beneath the Main Street, U.S.A. train station, capturing the parade’s dreamy, celestial theme while teasing the mix of classic and modern Disney stories featured in the parade.

Fans who have been following the parade’s development closely might notice some surprise characters on the poster that Disney had not yet confirmed… until now!
New Floats and Character Appearances
With the parade’s full float lineup now confirmed, here are the must-see highlights coming to Magic Kingdom’s newest nighttime spectacle:
Coco Float – A Vibrant, Musical Celebration
One of the biggest reveals is a brand-new float inspired by Pixar’s Coco! This stunning unit will celebrate the music and magic of Miguel’s journey with a larger-than-life Pepita spreading her wings over the parade route. Meanwhile, Miguel will be strumming his guitar at the base of a glowing marigold bridge, complete with sugar skull fireworks that will illuminate the night.

Expect color, movement, and the lively sounds of mariachi music as this bright and bold float brings the world of Coco to life!
The Blue Fairy & The First Star of the Night
Leading the parade is the majestic Blue Fairy, setting the stage for a parade filled with Disney dreams. The glowing star at the end of her wand? That’s the first star guests will see tonight, a nod to the famous Magic Kingdom fireworks narration.

This dreamy opening will invite guests to wish upon a star as the parade officially begins.
Encanto Joins the Parade – With Isabela Making Her Magic Kingdom Debut!
Magic Kingdom is finally getting an Encanto moment! This section of the parade will bring Isabela Madrigal to life, swinging from floral vines just like she does in the film. She’ll be joined by other Madrigal family members, adding even more color and movement to this stunning float.

Moana’s Oceanic Adventure
Magic Kingdom will make way for a breathtaking Moana float, surrounded by luminescent waves. Moana herself will be front and center, but fans will also spot Pua, HeiHei, and even a glowing manta ray representing Gramma Tala watching over her.

The Royals Return – A Classic Fairytale Segment
The Disney Princess float will be a love letter to classic Disney storytelling, drawing inspiration from Disney Legend Mary Blair and her iconic art style. The float will feature:
Aurora & Prince Phillip
Tiana & Prince Naveen
Belle & The Beast
Cinderella & Prince Charming

What wasn’t previously revealed, however, is that this segment will feature a royal court of dancers – a direct homage to the Main Street Electrical Parade!
Bringing Classic and New Stories to Life in an Unforgettable Way
“Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away” aims to combine beloved Disney stories with stunning visual effects, dazzling floats, and immersive storytelling. By blending modern Disney characters like Moana and Miguel with nostalgic classics like Peter Pan and Cinderella, this parade is shaping up to be an instant fan favorite.
