Which Disney World DVC Resorts Have the Best Locations?

With so many great DVC Resorts at Disney World to choose from, it can be difficult to decide where to stay.  One way to narrow down your choices is to prioritize based on location.  Depending on whether you want to minimize travel time to the theme parks or you want to enjoy a more chill vacation, here are the best DVC Resorts to book based on location.

For Easy Access to More Than One Theme Park

Many DVC Resorts have prime locations close to a theme park, but there are some that offer quick access to two theme parks!  If you love spending time at EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, the Beach Club and BoardWalk are walking distance to both parks.  If you don’t feel like walking, you can always take the Friendship boats to the theme parks.  While not walking distance, Riviera also offers quick access to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios via the Skyliner.  

If the Magic Kingdom and EPCOT are your favorite parks, the Polynesian has a perfect location.  For days that you visit Magic Kingdom, you can take the monorail or boat.  For days at EPCOT, take a little shortcut by walking directly to the Transportation and Ticket Center for the EPCOT monorail.  While Bay Lake Tower and the Grand Floridian also have monorail access to both Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, visiting EPCOT can take longer. Guests staying at those resorts would first have to take the resort line monorail to the Transportation and Ticket Center and then transfer to an EPCOT monorail.   

For a Quiet, Relaxing Vacation

For some guests, a Disney World vacation isn’t all about the theme parks.  Instead, they want to sit back, relax, and enjoy their resort.  In this case, staying at a resort that is located further from the parks can offer more peace and quiet.  If that’s more your speed, large resorts like Old Key West and Saratoga Springs are a great pick.  With Old Key West’s large rooms, there’s also more room to sprawl out so you can feel more comfortable at your home away from home.  At Saratoga Springs, guests can enjoy strolling the beautiful resort grounds or stay at the secluded Treehouse Villas that can offer you a truly peaceful stay away from the crowds. 

Other great locations to avoid the crowds are Boulder Ridge and Copper Creek at Wilderness Lodge.  Unlike some of the other Magic Kingdom resorts, Wilderness Lodge never feels packed, and its serene location along Bay Lake can make it feel miles away from the hustle and bustle of the theme parks.
