When Does Test Track Reopen?

Test Track fans, start your engines!  The newly reimagined Test Track presented by General Motors reopens to the public on July 22 and brings a fresh look into automotive technology. The attraction will also debut a new musical score.  Guests can already hear the cars being tested as they zoom around the outdoor track!  Here’s what we know about the thrilling attraction’s reopening:

New Scenes Featured

The newest iteration of Test Track will showcase all-new scenes that demonstrate the future of transportation and how new technology is making cars smarter.  Among these scenes is one that demonstrates how vehicles use cameras and sensors to see the world.  The scene will incorporate more than 29,000 points of light to represent this sensor technology, and thanks to a sneak preview from Disney Imagineers, you can catch a glimpse of the work in progress.  

A Nod to the Past

Test Track is located where the former World of Motion attraction was situated.  World of Motion was an opening day omnimover attraction that allowed guests to explore the history of transportation and ended with a vision of the future of transportation.  As announced at Destination D23 in 2023, this latest version of Test Track will pay homage to the older EPCOT attraction and its spirit of optimism for a brighter tomorrow.

Previews Are Coming

Before Test Track officially opens on July 22, attraction previews will be available soon for cast members, Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club Members, Golden Oak residents, and Club 33 Members.  Disney will announce details on these previews in the coming weeks.
