September at Disney World means Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival and lots of fall flavors. It also means afternoon showers, hot weather with potential for some cooler temps and hurricane season. What’s at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party?
Get ready for Halloween with trick or treating around Magic Kingdom and special characters meeting in their Halloween costume. The themed lighting and music around the park bring a party atmosphere. Then there’s the seasonal entertainment only found at Mickey’s Not So Scary like Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade and Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Fireworks.

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party tickets do usually sell out!
As of early September there are just a few dates with tickets available this month and just a few left for October as well.
The DVC and AP discount ticket event dates usually happen early in the season.

Epcot International Food and Wine Festival Starts September 2026
Epcot’s popular food and wine festival runs now through November 21 in 2026.
Eat to the Beat Concert Series September 2026 Schedule
Nightly show times for the Epcot food and wine festival concerts in the America Gardens Theatre are 5:30 p.m., 6:45 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

More Epcot Food and Wine September 2026 Dates
More opens at the festival this month including additional food booths and offerings exclusive to this event.
The food and wine festival debuted in late August but CommuniCore Hall is still set up as part of Cool Kids’ Summer which runs through September 8.
From September 9 to 17 this space will be transforming for the festival.
On September 18 it will open as the Cheers to Cheese! exhibit.

Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit Scavenger Hunt Starts September 25
This pay to play adventure costs $11.99 plus tax. Purchase a game board at Creations Shop, Disney Traders, festival merchandise kiosks, Gateway Gifts or World Traveler at International Gateway.
Find Disney character pumpkins around the park.
Return with your game board to collect your prize. The following are redemption locations: Creations Shop, Disney Traders, Gateway Gifts or World Traveler at International Gateway.
Disney After Hours Event Nights September 2026
Disney sells tickets to these special late night park takeovers that offer low waits and complimentary treats.
Make sure you’re logged into your My Disney Experience account when searching for tickets so any available discount options appear.

Typhoon Lagoon’s last day of operation this summer before closing for refurbishment is September 8. Blizzard Beach will remain open.
The Magic of Disney Animation Opens September 14
This building at Hollywood Studios will be home to a few different experiences. You can draw with Olaf, play on an Alice in Wonderland inspired playground for little ones, meet lots of characters, see a short film and more. This building continues on with the theme outdoors in the Animation Courtyard, with inspirations from the real Disney Animation building.
Cool Kids’ Summer Ends September 8
Each park has something special for the summer overlay event. Those will all go away this month.
