Figment Comes to Life
Starting tomorrow, September 10th, guests can meet the beloved character Figment inside the Imagination Pavilion at EPCOT. This interactive experience promises to be an exciting addition for fans of this lovable dragon and his imaginative world.
Encanto and Indiana Jones Join Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Disney’s Animal Kingdom is set for a reimagining with inspirations drawn from “Encanto” and Indiana Jones. The Academy Award-winning film and the fan-favorite adventurer will bring fresh experiences to this beloved park. Imagineering is still underway for this new addition to Animal Kingdom, and no further details were revealed today.
Zootopia Comes to the Tree of Life Theater
A new show based on “Zootopia” is being created for the Tree of Life theater at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The experience will take guests through the different biomes glimpsed in the film, accompanied by Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, and other characters.
Magic Kingdom Expansion
The largest-ever expansion plans for the Magic Kingdom in Florida are underway. Imagineers are looking beyond Big Thunder Mountain to create attractions, restaurants, and shows on a scale similar to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Pandora – The World of Avatar.
Disney Adventure Sets Sail
Work is currently underway in Germany on the Disney Adventure, the seventh ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet. This ship will be the first Disney vessel to sail from Singapore and throughout Southeast Asia.
Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point
A new destination for Disney Cruise Line, Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point promises to be a magical island experience like no other.
EPCOT Updates
Several exciting updates are coming to EPCOT. Test Track will be reimagined, drawing inspiration from the original World of Motion. A new nighttime spectacular, “Luminous The Symphony of Us,” will debut on Dec. 5, 2023.
The “Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana” walk-through experience will open on Oct. 16, 2023. On the same day, Moana will make her first appearance in her own dedicated space near Journey of Water.
The World Celebration neighborhood will begin welcoming guests this December, uniting the front of the park and tying together the other two new EPCOT neighborhoods, World Discovery and World Nature.
Magic Kingdom Updates
Adventureland at Magic Kingdom Park in Florida is getting a new Pirates of the Caribbean-themed lounge. This first-of-its-kind experience will extend the story of Pirates of the Caribbean.
The Country Bear Jamboree is set for a revamp, with new songs and a new act coming in 2024.
Avengers Campus Update
At Disney California Adventure Park, a new world-jumping vehicle is coming to the next attraction in Avengers Campus. This vehicle will transport Super Heroes into the Multiverse.
Haunted Mansion Update
In late November, the Hatbox Ghost will materialize in the Haunted Mansion as you pass the attraction’s Endless Hallway.
New Characters Coming to Parks
Asha, from the new Disney animated film “Wish,” will soon be coming to EPCOT, Disneyland Resort, and Disneyland Paris. Ahsoka will become part of the popular Star Tours attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida, Disneyland Park in California, and Disneyland Paris – beginning next spring.
