What’s New on the Disney Destiny?
Disney Cruise Line’s upcoming ship, the Disney Destiny, may be the sister ship to the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure, but it has lots of new offerings of its own. Let’s take a look at some newly announced highlights of the hero-and-villain-themed Disney Destiny!
Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King
Just as the Disney Wish has Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure and the Disney Treasure has Plaza de Coco, the Disney Destiny has its own exclusive theatrical dining experience, Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King. Guests will be treated to a blend of storytelling and live performances of hits like “Circle of Life,” “Can You Feel the Love Tonight,” and “Hakuna Matata” that include authentic African instruments, theatrical props, and special effects to bring the story of “The Lion King” to life.
Featured dishes at Pride Lands include Nala’s roasted pork tenderloin, pan-seared berbere-spiced roasted chicken, Cape Malay shrimp curry, and heirloom tomato kachumbari.

“Disney Hercules”
The Disney Destiny will feature a brand new stage show, “Disney Hercules.” While the show will have the same music and characters as the animated movie, the stage show will put a more contemporary spin on the story with a more modern set and contemporary pop music. It will also include the song “Shooting Star” that was originally written by Alan Menken and David Zippel for the animated movie. Guests are sure to be wowed by the show’s larger than life puppets and new technology in the Walt Disney Theater.

Villainous Experiences
Those who can’t wait for the new Villains Land at Magic Kingdom can have a little taste of it with experiences aboard the Disney Destiny, such as De Vil’s Piano Lounge. Inspired by Cruella’s fashionista origins, the lounge will offer an assortment of wines and trendy cocktails and a spotted piano in this Hollywood Regency-style space. Guests will have a chance to see Cruella De Vil herself as she critiques guests’ fashion choices on her runway. They may also find her recruiting guests to create a new musical tribute to her in lieu of the song “Cruella de Vil.”

With the Disney Destiny, guests have new ways to interact with their favorite villains. Whether it’s Dr. Facilier lurking around the Grand Hall with sleight of hand tricks, Loki recruiting guests for a competition, or Malificent giving a personal demonstration of her spells at Saga entertainment lounge, there are plenty of ways to have a wickedly good time throughout the cruise.
