Utopia of the Seas: What Dining Options Are Included?
If you’re new to Royal Caribbean or cruising in general, the Utopia of the Seas can be a great ship to try with its short 3- or 4-night itineraries that all include a stop at Royal Caribbean’s private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay.
With more than 20 dining venues aboard the Utopia of the Seas, you could pay for specialty dining, but there are also plenty of dining options that are included within your cruise fare. Here is where you can dine on Utopia of the Seas without spending anything extra.
Main Dining Room
The massive 3-story main dining room on Decks 3 to 5 is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menus rotate from day to day with different themes, such as Welcome Aboard, Taste of France, Taste of the Caribbean, and Bon Voyage. For dinner, you can choose to dine at the 5pm seating or the 7:30pm seating, or you can choose My Time Dining, which offers more flexibility by letting you choose when you would like to dine between 6:45pm and 9pm.
Windjammer
Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Windjammer’s buffet offers something for everyone! For breakfast, there’s classics like eggs, bacon, sausage, cereal, pastries, and an omelet station. For lunch and dinner, there’s everything from hamburgers, hot dogs, and pasta to international cuisine and carving stations. Just note that Windjammer gets very crowded at peak dining times like the seafood lunch on embarkation day, and it can be difficult to find a table.
Sorrento’s Pizza
Sorrento’s Pizza on Deck 5 serves cheese, pepperoni, and vegetable pizza as well as a few rotating specialty pizzas. This place is open from 11am to 3am, so it’s a great option when you are hungry late at night or at odd hours in the middle of the day when the Main Dining Room and Windjammer are not open.
Cafe Promenade
Across the way from Sorrento’s is Cafe Promenade. It offers coffee, pastries, cookies, sandwiches, and salads for quick bites. You can also get juice and tea here. Cafe Promenade is conveniently open 24 hours a day.
Boardwalk Dog House
Also on Deck 5 is the Dog House in the Boardwalk neighborhood of the ship. It’s open from the afternoon through early evening and serves hot dogs and sausages as well as a couple of sides like coleslaw and potato salad.
El Fresco Loco
If you like Mexican food, head up to Deck 16 for El Fresco Loco for a quick lunch. There are tacos, burritos, naches, quesadillas, and you can customize them with add-ons like pico de gallo, lettuce, tomato, guacamole, salsa, and more at the toppings bar.
Solarium Bistro
You’ll find the Solarium Bistro on Deck 15. Despite its location by the adult-only Solarium, the buffet-style restaurant is open to guests of all ages. The bistro is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and serves Mediterranean-inspired dishes. For dinner, it’s recommended that you make a reservation.
Park Cafe
On Deck 8 in the Central Park neighborhood is Central Park Cafe, which is open for a quick breakfast or lunch. At breakfast, you’ll find items such as oatmeal, bagels, and fresh fruit. At lunch, you’ll find sandwiches, paninis, soups, and made-to-order salads.
The Spare Tire
Located on Deck 15 on the pool deck, The Spare Tire is a convenient spot to go for a quick bite when you’re enjoying some pool time. It serves grab-and-go items like sandwiches, tornados, and veggie wraps.
Sprinkles
Also on the pool deck is Sprinkles, where you can get soft serve ice cream on a cone. You can choose from vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry ice cream and add sprinkles if you wish.
Johnny Rockets
Although lunch and dinner at Johnny Rockets are not included with your cruise fare, breakfast is available for no additional charge. You’ll find Johnny Rockets on Deck 5 in the Boardwalk neighborhood. The breakfast menu includes items like pancakes, French toast, omelets, and breakfast sandwiches.
Room Service
Most room service items are for an additional fee. However, the continental breakfast items such as pastries, bagels, cereal, fruit, coffee, juice, and tea are complimentary. Just note that you’ll want to offer a tip to the crew member who delivers your food.
