Kid-Friendly Signature Restaurants at Disney World

February 11, 2025
By

Walt Disney World is probably one of the most kid-friendly tourist destinations.  However, some signature restaurants like Victoria & Albert’s, Monsieur Paul, and Takumi-Tei have an age minimum.  If you have young children but still want to enjoy fine dining, here are some kid-friendly signature restaurants at Walt Disney World.  They each have great food, space to move about, and fireworks views as a bonus!

Topolino’s Terrace

While you may think that Topolino’s Terrace is only good for kids during its Breakfast A La Art with Mickey & Friends.  However, it’s still kid-friendly during dinner time.  While adults can enjoy entrees like the filet mignon, sole meunière, or bouillabaisse, kids can create their own entrees with a choice of rigatoni, steak, or grilled chicken with sides or desserts like macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, carrots, fruit salad, or gelato.

If your kids get antsy, the terrace is the perfect spot to let out some wiggles.  It has a great view of Riviera’s grounds, and little ones may like watching the Skyliner sail by in the distance.  Later dinner reservations can catch Luminous The Symphony of Us (EPCOT’s fireworks spectacular) from the terrace.

California Grill

At California Grill at the Contemporary, adults can savor a three-course meal with entrees such as pork tenderloin, wagyu striploin, and scallops.  Kids also get their own three-course meal with a choice of appetizer, entree (e.g., steak, citrus-glazed chicken, shells and cheese, and salmon), sides, and dessert.

If the prix fixe meal takes a while, it’s easy to step out with your kids to the observation deck.  From there, you have beautiful views of the Magic Kingdom and Seven Seas Lagoon.  It’s fun to try to spot Cinderella Castle, Astro Orbiter, Space Mountain, and TRON Lightcycle / Run.  Of course, the best part of the observation deck is views of Happily Ever After, Magic Kingdom’s fireworks show.

Narcoosee’s

Narcoosee’s is one of three signature restaurants at the Grand Floridian and offers seafood specialties like red-wine glazed salmon, blackened redfish, shrimp bucatini, and surf and turf.  Similar to Topolino’s, kids can create their own entrees with grilled chicken, steak, seasonal fish, or chicken strips and choose their own sides or desserts like macaroni and cheese, haricot verts, basmati rice, a Nemo cupcake, or raspberry sorbet.

Fidgety little ones may enjoy walking around the restaurant’s verandah to look at the Magic Kingdom or watch the boats or monorail go by, or they may like walking just outside the restaurant where there is a fragrant herb garden.  Like California Grill, Narcoosee’s has wonderful views of Happily Ever After from some tables and the verandah that wraps around the restaurant.  From Narcoosee’s you may also catch the charming Electrical Water Pageant with its twinkling floats and nostalgic soundtrack.

Try one of these kid-friendly signature restaurants during your next trip to Disney World!  Don’t have one booked?  Browse the confirmed reservations or look into future availability to rent DVC points.
