Don’t Miss a Meal at Disney Springs’ Wine Bar George!
Is there a restaurant on Walt Disney World property that you would label as an ever-faithful go-to? One that no matter the day or the season or the year, it will, in fact, be an amazing experience? I have one. And I had the pleasure of returning to it recently with a sweet friend. Suffice it to say, it was an incredible meal. Friends, I’m not going to gatekeep around here; our Disney dining dollars are just too precious. If you’re looking for a new dining location for your next Disney trip, head straight to Disney Springs for a meal at Wine Bar George.
Wine Bar George can be found in The Landing area just across from Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar. I can honestly say that I’ve never had a bad meal at there. Simply never. When we Disney fans can say that about a theme park-adjacent restaurant, it’s worth noting. To me, Wine Bar George belongs in the upper echelon of Walt Disney World restaurants.
Wine Bar George is not a Disney-owned dining location, but Master Sommelier George Miliotes’ masterpiece of a restaurant reflects all things Disney. The menu is innovative and creative, the service is always with a smile and great care, and all are welcomed here. Not a wine drinker? No worries. Mocktails are made with seasonal ingredients, and are not to be missed.
Something that is worth noting is that reservations at Wine Bar George are not hard to come by. Seating at the location is plentiful, and I’ve had good luck with walk up availability in the early evening hours.
The menu changes seasonally, with a few entrées, always remaining on the menu. The majority of the offerings are small plates, which add up to be just enough to share around a table. It becomes an experience that’s shared among diners, and it’s incredibly enjoyable.
The space is bright and beautiful, and in my mind, few tables on Walt Disney World property rival sitting on the upper balcony that overlooks The Landing. Please, by all means, request to sit there. It’s worth a shot.
My list of favorite items is long (please picture me unfolding a long list that trickles onto the floor), but I’ll summarize as best I can. The dishes not to be missed are:
House-Made Meatballs ($16)

Three moist and juicy meatballs arrive at top a generous bed of Wine Bar George’s triple cheese polenta. Everything is topped off by their slightly kicky tomato sauce, and it’s simply delicious. And it’s deceptively filling.
Saganaki on Fire ($17)
Griddled Greek cheese that is set on fire tableside? Did someone ask for dinner and a show? Why, yes you did, and you made a great choice. If you’ve never tried Saganaki before, please don’t talk yourself out of it. Try it and discover that it’s truly one of the most delicious things you’ll eat during your Disney trip.
Seasonal Salad ($14)

I don’t care what’s being served on the seasonal salad, whether it be sweet or savory, it must be ordered. This season’s creation features Honeycrisp apples, Arcadian greens, apple cider vinaigrette, and brioche croutons. It was fresh and incredibly good.
The Big Board ($65)

If you’re celebrating, and charcuterie happens to be your love language, you must try The Big Board. Yes, it’s an investment, but it’s also something that I believe deserves a try. I was absolutely giddy when this thing landed on the table, and I savored every morsel. Please, for the love of all things meat and cheese, add this one to your list.
If you’re traveling with someone else, keep in mind that Wine Bar George will also have a couple of larger entrees that are perfect for sharing among 2-4 people. Currently, those offerings are a Skirt Steak ($81) and Whole Greek Sea Bass ($78).
So now the question comes to you: which Walt Disney World restaurant would you consider to be your never-fail go-to? Wine Bar George takes the cake in my book!
