Best Disney World Restaurants for Antsy Kids

July 10, 2026
By

Disney World is one of the most kid-friendly vacation destinations. Beyond offering character dining and kid-friendly menus, Disney World has some unique restaurants that can be great even for antsy kids who wouldn’t normally sit through dinner easily. If you’ve been shying away from table service dining because you’re traveling with fidgety little ones, here are some dining suggestions.

Biergarten Restaurant

Buffets are often a good option for dining with kids since they offer plenty of variety, so there’s something for everyone. It also gives kids the opportunity to get up from the table and walk around. In addition to its German fare, Biergarten in EPCOT’s Germany Pavilion stands out among other buffets with its lively Polka band. Besides enjoying the live music, kids can get their wiggles out by dancing on the dance floor in the middle of the restaurant’s Bavarian village setting.

If your kids aren’t into the more traditional dishes like pork schnitzel, sausages, and sauerkraut, they can find macaroni and cheese, meatballs, and roasted chicken.

Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue

Another lively dining option is Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue in Pioneer Hall at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. Kids will have fun clapping, stomping, and singing along as they enjoy the musical comedy and dancing. They may even have a chance to volunteer to go on stage and join the Pioneer Hall Players for a brief role in the show. With dishes such as fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and macaroni and cheese, the all-you-care-to-eat dinner is sure to please picky eaters.

Whispering Canyon Cafe

Over at the Wilderness Lodge, Whispering Canyon Cafe can be another good choice for antsy kids. The restaurant’s name is something of a misnomer, as you often hear plenty of laughter and shouting thanks to the games and shenanigans.  Kids will have fun horsing around with the Cast Members’ antics, like a stick horse race parade. (If you like the playful teasing at 50’s Prime Time Cafe, you’ll feel at home at Whispering Canyon Cafe too.)

The menu at Whispering Canyon Cafe features kid-friendly favorites like chicken strips, macaroni and cheese, and cheeseburgers.
