Disney Character Dining Outside of Disney World and Disneyland

Guests love to visit the DVC beach resorts like Vero Beach, Hilton Head, and Aulani for their beautiful locations and the Disney service that they are accustomed to. These resorts may not be anywhere near the theme parks. However, did you know that a couple of them offer Disney character dining?

At Aulani in Ko Olina, Hawaii, you’ll find Makahiki – The Bounty of the Islands where you can start your day with the Makahiki Character Breakfast. Guests can dine either indoors where murals and stained glass tell the story of Makahiki Season, which is the Hawaiian celebration of the harvest, or outdoors on the lanai where there is a koi pond. The three-course breakfast showcases local ingredients and takes place from 7am to 11am daily.

Breakfast begins with a basket of baked goods and a platter of fresh fruit. For an entree, guests can choose from classic American fare like buttermilk pancakes or a traditional omelet. Alternatively, they can choose from island-inspired dishes like the kālua pig omelet and Hawaiian-style loco moco with portuguese sausage fried rice and maui onion gravy.

Besides meeting Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy at breakfast, guests can enjoy live music and entertainment from Aunty or Uncle.

Vero Beach

Starting on April 20, 2024, the Wind & Waves Grill at Vero Beach will have a character breakfast once again! The new breakfast menu features a pastry boat with mini pastries and berry compote, blueberry pancakes with homemade blueberry syrup, bananas foster french toast made with challah bread and served with crisp bacon, and the treasure omelet with golden cheddar, ham, bell peppers, and onions with seasoned home fries.

During breakfast, guests can look forward to meeting Goofy and Pluto who will be in their beach outfits. The character breakfast takes place on Saturdays from 8am to noon, and guests can book reservations on Open Table.
