Celebrating the Fourth of July at Disney World in 2024
From fireworks and extended park hours to special food and entertainment, here are all the fun festivities taking place at Disney World in celebration of the Fourth of July!
Magic Kingdom
Fireworks
In place of “Happily Ever After,” the Magic Kingdom will present “Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky.” You can catch this show twice! It takes place at 9:20pm on both July 3 and July 4. The fireworks spectacular is visible from Magic Kingdom as well as the Magic Kingdom Resort Area hotels like the Contemporary, Polynesian, Grand Floridian, and Wilderness Lodge.
DJ Dance Party
Celebrate and dance into the night at the Magic Kingdom with a DJ dance party in front of Cinderella Castle.
EPCOT
Fireworks
Like the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT will also have a special fireworks display for the Fourth of July. Following Luminous “The Symphony of Us” will be “The Heartbeat of Freedom.” “The Heartbeat of Freedom” will take place at 9pm on July 4.
Portraits of Courage
In The American Adventure, you’ll find a special exhibit from the George W. Bush Institute called Portraits of Courage: A Commander in Chief’s Tribute to America’s Warriors. The art exhibit includes more than 60 oil paintings by President Bush of service members and veterans whom he has come to know personally and who have served since 9/11.
Voices of Liberty
While you’re at The American Adventure, be sure to take the time to see Voices of Liberty, the renowned a cappella group. Voices of Liberty will perform patriotic songs in the rotunda of The American Adventure throughout the day.
Special Photo Ops
You’ll also find some of your favorite pals at The American Adventure. Pose for photos with Mickey, Donald, and Goofy who will be wearing their patriotic “Spirit of ’76” outfits.
Patriotic Treats and Merchandise
In honor of the holiday, Disney will offer new dishes throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. You’ll also see the return of favorites like the Barbeque Pulled Chicken Sandwich at Regal Eagle Smokehouse.
If you’re in need of some patriotic clothes and accessories, check out the Disney Americana Collection that features a patriotic Mickey Mouse and lots of red, white, and blue. The collection includes t-shirts, a Loungefly mini backpack, and a Loungefly ear headband. You can find the merchandise at World of Disney at Disney Springs, the Emporium at the Magic Kingdom, Creations at EPCOT, Discovery Trading Company at Animal Kingdom, and DisneyStore.com.
Resorts
Even the resorts are in on the holiday fun! In addition to the usual Movies Under the Stars, roasted marshmallows at the campfire, and crafts, there will be surprise character appearances and specially-themed activities at select resorts.
