All the Perks of Staying at a Disney World Resort in 2026!

May 12, 2025
By

There are so many benefits for guests staying at Disney-owned-and-operated resorts that are continuing through 2026!  These benefits are available to guests at the DVC resorts, including those who are renting points for their stay.  Here’s what you can look forward to in 2026!

Early Theme Park Entry

When you stay at a Disney resort, you can enter the theme parks 30 minutes before official park opening time!  That gives you a head start on some of the most popular attractions.  Early entry is included each day of your stay, including check-in and check-out day.

Extended Evening Theme Park Hours

Deluxe Disney Resorts, including the DVC resorts, have another perk for added park time: Extended Evening Theme Park Hours.  These hours are offered on certain days of the week at specific parks.  They’re a great way to enjoy your favorite attractions with lower wait times and beat the heat.  Plus, the theme parks just hit differently at night when all the attractions and lands are lit up.

Complimentary Water Park Entry on Check-in Day

In 2025, Disney began offering complimentary water park entry to its resort guests on check-in day, and this awesome perk is continuing in 2026!  With this perk, resort guests can visit Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach for free.  Disney will announce more details on this benefit in the future, but water park entry is subject to availability.

Free Kids Dining Plan Offering

In 2026, guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel, including DVC resorts, will receive a free dining plan for kids ages 3 to 9 when purchasing a dining plan for the others in their travel party who are ages 10 and older! The dining plan allows guests to pay in advance for their meals and snacks.  Some guests like that dining plan offers the convenience and ease of an all-inclusive vacation.

There are two different types of dining plans for 2026:

Disney Quick Service Dining Plan ($55.53 per night for guests ages 10 and up, excluding taxes and fees)

  • 2 quick-service meals per night of stay
  • 1 snack or non-alcoholic drink per night of stay
  • 1 resort-refillable drink mug

Disney Dining Plan ($91.82 per night for guests ages 10 and up, excluding taxes and fees)

  • 1 quick-service meal per night of stay
  • 1 table-service meal per night of stay
  • 1 snack or non-alcoholic drink per night of stay
  • 1 resort-refillable drink mug

Guests who are renting DVC points can get the dining plan. Dining plans can only be added to your reservation by the renting DVC Member. If you would like to purchase a dining plan, please navigate to your guest portal and request information. DVC Rental Store’s Reservation Specialist Team will contact with the Member to ensure that your dining plan is added as quickly as possible.

Free Transportation and Parking

Disney Resort guests can enjoy complimentary transportation to the theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs.  Besides buses, many DVC resorts offer alternative modes of transportation, such as the monorail, Skyliner, and boats–all of which provide a convenient means to get around property.

If you travel with your own vehicle, you also get free parking at the hotels, theme parks, and water parks.

Early Access to Dining Reservations and More

As a guest at a Disney Resort, you also get a leg up on making your dining reservations.  Instead of just booking 60 days out from the dining date, you can book dining for the duration of your resort reservation at 60 days out from check-in.  For lightning lanes, you can purchase passes and select your attractions up to 7 days in advance of your stay whereas offsite guests cannot purchase passes and make attraction selections until 3 days prior to their stay.

Typically, Disney Resort guests also get first dibs on purchasing special event tickets for after hours events and holiday parties like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and Jollywood Nights.

The DVC booking window is already open for the first quarter of 2026!  Start planning your 2026 Disney World vacation by renting DVC points.  Browse the confirmed reservations, or request a free quote.
