Which DVC Resorts Are Fit for Foodies?
For many, food is as important a part of a Disney vacation as the attractions! If Remy from Ratatouille is your spirit animal and you only want to eat the good stuff, here are the best DVC resorts for you.
Animal Kingdom Lodge
Animal Kingdom Lodge is best known for its incredible savannas, but the animals aren’t the only benefits of staying at this resort. Between Jambo House and Kidani Village, you have lots of great dining options for more adventurous eaters.
At Jambo House, there’s Boma, which offers a breakfast and dinner buffet. In addition to the standard Disney buffet fare, you’ll find more unique menu items, such as turkey bobotie, African spiced beef striploin, Tunisian couscous and shrimp salad, and Durban chicken.
Just across from Boma is Jiko, the resort’s signature dining restaurant. It features entrees like Moroccan-spiced lamb shank, Botswanan Seswaa short rib, seafood tagine, and seared venison loin. Wine connoisseurs will appreciate the selection of South African wines to accompany their meals.
Jambo House is also home to one of the best quick service locations among the DVC resorts, The Mara. Besides a regular burger or chicken strips, you can order a combination bowl with Chermoula-spiced shrimp and oak-grilled chicken, curried vegetable stew, or a tamarind barbecue pork sandwich. If you’re a fan of the zebra domes at Boma, you can also get them here.
Over at Kidani Village, there’s Sanaa, which offers a casual quick service for breakfast and table service for lunch and dinner. The cuisine here is a blend of African cooking with Indian flavors, such as goan seafood curry, butter chicken, braised beef, and pork vindaloo. Some tables have a perfect view of the Sunset Savanna, so you can watch the animals as you dine.

Grand Floridian
If elevated dining is your preference, the Grand Floridian is the place for you! Home to Victoria & Albert’s, Citricos, and Narcoosee’s, the Grand Floridian has the most signature dining restaurants among the DVC resorts.
Victoria & Albert’s is the premiere signature dining location at Walt Disney World. It offers a true culinary adventure with a seasonal tasting menu of modern American cuisine and extensive wine list in one of three settings: The Dining Room, Queen Victoria’s Room, and the Chef’s Table.
Less formal signature dining options at the Grand Floridian are Citricos and Narcoosee’s. Citricos with its subtle Mary Poppins Returns theming offers Florida cuisine with a Mediterranean influence with entrees like butter-poached Florida cobia and guava-barbecued short ribs. With beautiful waterfront views, Narcoosee’s serves land and sea favorites such as a surf & turf, blackened redfish, Gulf shrimp bucatini, and prime New York strip steak. You can even watch Happily Ever After from some of the window tables or the restaurant’s verandah.

Riviera
Riviera may not have a lot of dining establishments to choose from, but what it lacks in quantity, it makes up for in quality. The resort is best known for Topolino’s Terrace, which offers both the character breakfast, Breakfast à La Art with Mickey and Friends, and signature dining for dinner.
For Breakfast à La Art, Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy are dressed in their special Riviera costumes and mingle with guests. The prix-fixe menu includes a pastry basket for the table plus a choice of entree. Compared to other character breakfasts, Breakfast à La Art has some more sophisticated options, such as a sour cream waffle, eggs benedict florentine, wild mushroom scramble, and wood-fired steak and eggs. For dinner, the French and Italian-inspired menu features dishes like classic sole meunière, bouillabaisse, and handmade pasta as well as a wine selection sourced from the Mediterranean.
For quick service dining at Riviera, there’s Primo Piatto. It offers specialties such as blueberry-lemon pancakes, breakfast pizza, and a frittata for breakfast or a croque monsieur, spicy Italian sandwich, tuna niçoise salad, or beef bolognese for lunch or dinner.
Even the pool bar, Bar Riva, has some solid entrees. In lieu of your standard pool bar fare, there’s a signature burger with Swiss cheese, caramelized onions, mushrooms, and truffle aïoli; grilled chicken pasta, burrata salad, Greek salad, and a grilled vegetable pita. Bar Riva can be a great option when you want table service dining but don’t have a reservation.
