What’s New at EPCOT’s CommuniCore Hall and Plaza?
On June 10, the final construction walls came down in EPCOT as CommuniCore Hall, CommuniCore Plaza, and Mickey & Friends officially opened to the public! Within this new section of World Celebration, you’ll find character meet and greets, live performances, and snacks.
Character Meet and Greets
Mickey and his pals have a new location for meet and greets within World Celebration called Mickey & Friends. This spot provides colorful, retro EPCOT-themed backdrops for you to take photos with Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy. There are both standby lines and Lightning Lanes for these meet and greets.
Live Shows
Over at CommuniCore Plaza, you can catch the new stage show, “¡Celebración Encanto!” This singalong show features songs from the animated movie, appearances from Mirabel and Bruno, and some opportunities for audience participation. “¡Celebración Encanto!” is a limited-time offering and will run through September 6, 2024.
Food and Beverages
Next to CommuniCore Plaza is Festival Favorites. This quick service location offers a variety of popular snacks and drinks from previous EPCOT festivals and will rotate its menu. Currently, food on the menu includes dishes inspired by “Encanto.” There’s the Cheese-stuffed Arepa with Cilantro-Lime Crema and Cotija, Cheese-stuffed Arepa with Chicken and Avocado, and the plant-based Coconut Tres Leches, which is vanilla cake soaked with oat, almond, and coconut milks topped with toasted coconut. Specialty drinks available are the Passion Fruit Daiquiri and the non-alcoholic Coconut-Passion Fruit Smoothie.
More Entertainment to Come
CommuniCore Hall will be home to live music, art, food, and more! The hall features a state-of-the-art open show kitchen where you can watch cast members or even guest chefs prepare dishes and beverages. There are also lots of tables and chairs to relax and enjoy your goodies from Festival Favorites.
Opposite the CommuniCore Plaza Stage where you’ll find “¡Celebración Encanto!” is another space for live performances. Disney will announce more details on this space in the near future.
