What to Enjoy Without an Additional Fee on the Disney Wish
Many guests love Disney cruises not only for the amazing ships and destinations but for its all-inclusive feel. There’s so much that’s included with Disney Cruise Line! From entertainment to dining, here’s what you can do for free aboard the Disney Wish.
Dining
Rotational Dining
Included in your cruise fare is dinner each night at one of the three themed table service restaurants. On the Wish you’ll dine at the Old Hollywood-inspired 1923, Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure to celebrate Anna and Kristoff’s engagement, and Worlds of Marvel for a demonstration of the Quantum Core by Ant Man and the Wasp.
Marceline Market
Named after Walt Disney’s hometown, Marceline Market serves up a wide variety of cuisines. You’ll find Mickey waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, and more at breakfast. (On the final full day on board, be on the lookout for churro Mickey waffles, similar to those found at the Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom!) At lunch, dine on more basic foods like salads, chicken fingers, and fries or seek out some more sophisticated options like seafood, curry, or the carving station. Don’t forget to leave room to try out some of the many desserts!
Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods
Located on the pool deck, Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods consists of several different food stations:
- Mickey’s Smokestack Barbecue
- Donald’s Cantina
- Daisy’s Pizza Pies
- Goofy’s Grill
- Sweet Minnie’s Ice Cream
This is where you will find the beverage stations, which are available 24/7. Unlike other cruise lines, you don’t need to pay for a beverage package in order to get soft drinks like soda, coffee, tea, and juice.
Room Service
Even room service is included with your cruise fare! You can order breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even a late night bite. You just need to add a tip for the cast member who delivers the food.
Onboard Entertainment
Broadway-style Shows
Head to the Walt Disney Theatre for Broadway-style live shows. You’ll kick off the cruise with Disney Seas the Adventure that follows Goofy’s journey as he takes the helm of the ship and seeks his inner captain. Throughout the musical, he encounters plenty of Disney friends who provide encouragement along the way. There’s also the reimagined Disney The Little Mermaid musical that puts a modern twist on the 1989 animated film The Little Mermaid. Last but not least is the comedy, Disney’s Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular.
Kids Clubs
The Disney Oceaneer Club spaces for kids ages 3 to 10 are highly themed and so much fun! For example, there’s Star Wars: Cargo Bay where kids can support the Resistance and work with Rey and Chewbacca to secure the ship. Over at the Walt Disney Imagineering Lab, kids can learn what it’s like to be a Disney Imagineer through hands-on activities. In Fairytale Hall, they can meet Disney princesses, act out stories in Belle’s Library, create their own floating lanterns in Rapunzel’s Art Studio, or play snow games with Olaf in “Frozen Fun.”
Tweens and teens get their own exclusive hangouts with movies and games at Edge and Vibe, respectively.
Character Meet and Greets
Every day there are lots of opportunities to meet with Mickey and his pals, including Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Daisy, and Chip ‘N Dale. You can also register on the navigator app for the Royal Gathering to meet several Disney princesses, such as Cinderella, Belle, Rapunzel, Tiana, and Moana. On Pirate Night, you’ll find Captain Hook, Smee, and Captain Jack Sparrow.
Water Fun
In addition to the AquaMouse (the first Disney attraction at sea), there are 10 pools including those for all ages and the Quiet Cove Pool for adults. Little ones can have fun at the Toy Story Splash Zone splash pad with water features starring their favorite Toy Story friends.
Movies
The Wish has two movie theaters: the Neverland Theater and the Wonderland Cinema. Both offer viewings of Disney’s latest films at no additional charge! There are typically multiple showings of the several films. Just check the navigator app for movie times.
Crafts
If you’re a fan of the community halls at the DVC resorts, you’ll be happy to know that there’s lots of arts and crafts on the Wish! You’ll find activities like coloring, make-your-own stateroom door decoration, classes to learn to draw your favorite Disney characters, and more. These arts and crafts take place in locations such as the Triton Lounge and Bayou Lounge during the daytime.
Other Extras
Pirate Night
On Pirate Night, go to Deck 11 for Mickey and Minnie’s Pirates in the Caribbean stage show and Pirates Rockin’ Parlay Party with live music and fireworks. Disney Cruise Line is the only cruise line to offer fireworks at sea. It’s definitely a must-see!
Walking Tour of the Wish
Another great offering is a one-hour guided tour of the Wish. You learn about the details in the theming and design of the ship. It’s a perfect activity for a day at sea! You can find the tour times and sign up in the navigator app.
