Looking for fun things to do throughout Walt Disney World? These 13 unique experiences at Disney are focused for younger children, but you may have some older kiddos that also enjoy these adventures! We’ve picked a variety of experiences so you can choose the best ones for your kiddos, your wallet, and YOU! Please know that the majority of these experiences will require reservations.
Side note, I love when you can get a souvenir AND an experience at the same time! So, if you are like me, you can look for ✨✨✨by the title of each adventure. This will signify it is an experience plus you get a souvenir!
Pick A Pearl In Japan (Epcot)✨✨✨
This experience is one that both adults and children will enjoy! The cast members are extremely friendly and personable. They make each guest feel as though they are the only guest that will get a pearl that day! Little princesses especially will love this experience -they get to be like Ariel and find a treasure under the sea!! Ok, it’s really in an aquarium…but you can use your imagination! 😉 Parents, this experience is just under $20 per pearl! How cute would it be to get matching pearl necklaces with your child. Every time you wear it, you’ll be reminded of the memories you made together at Disney!
Disney’s Family Magic Tour
Take a family scavenger hunt through Magic Kingdom! No matter what your age is, you’ll enjoy gallivanting around the Magic Kingdom, looking for clues on this grand adventure! The cost is $39.00 per adult, and the scavenger hunt lasts around 2 hours. It’s only open on Monday, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. To find out more about this unique experience at Disney, visit Disney’s Family Magic Tour.
Kidcot Stops at Epcot ✨✨✨
This is another kid-friendly experience at Epcot! It’s focused more towards younger children (i.e. preschool and elementary). If you’re looking for something fun AND FREE for the littles, this is it! At each country in Epcot, you can stop and engage with cast members who share about their country. You may also nurture your child’s artistic nature at a Kidcot Stop by picking up an activity card or letting them color and draw!
Breakfast at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall ✨✨✨
Be Our Guest (located in Magic Kingdom) is often the place everyone heads to in order to meet all the princesses while enjoying a lovely meal. Although this is great, did you know you can meet many princesses at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall (in Epcot) during breakfast?! Snow White, Aurora, Cinderella, Belle, and possibly Ariel or Rapunzel! What a wonderful way to start your day in Epcot with small children! If you are wondering how this is a souvenir…I assumed you would be taking an autograph book for all the princesses…that’s quite a few princesses…and you didn’t have to spend time waiting in line to see them!
ProTip: you can also use your dining plan here if you have one.
Pirates League ✨✨✨
Forget looking like a princess or a knight, when you can dress up as a mermaid or a pirate! Kids will love the Pirates League! They even give you a pirate or mermaid name after you get all dressed up!! The cost of this makeover varies from $18.95 – $99.95 (tax is not included). There are 8 unique experiences at Disney to choose from, each of which includes souvenirs (i.e. a sword/sheath). Pirate’s League is located at Magic Kingdom in Adventure Land, right next to the Pirates of The Caribbean Ride…which of course you must experience after you get all dressed up!
Pro Tip: Make an afternoon of this! After dressing up as a pirate or a mermaid, go on A Pirate’s Adventure – Treasures of the Seven Seas (located right next door)! Here you will get to go on a treasure hunt and complete missions! After completing the missions, you get a fastpass to Pirates of the Caribean Ride! Keep reading for more pirate experiences you may want to enjoy!
Captain Hook’s Pirate Crew
Not to be confused with Pirates League, the Captain Hook’s Pirate Crew adventure takes place at Beach Club Resort and is for kids ages 4-12. Ok, so if your child is REALLY into pirates…then you need to visit Beach Club for not only this fun experience, but also the giant shipwreck that is actually a waterslide (note you can only swim at Beach Club’s pool if you are staying at Beach Club…find out how to stay there and save up to 65%)! What is interesting about this experience is that it is totally for your children! Your kiddos get to search for clues on land and then sail around Crescent Lake! The cost is $55 (plus tax) per child, and dinner is included. The earliest you can drop them off is 4:30pm, and then you can pick them up around 8:30pm.
Pro Tip: Drop the kids off at Captain Hook’s Pirate Crew, and walk in the back entrance to EPCOT. It’s the perfect way to spend a child-free evening visiting all of the countries in EPCOT and YOU get a unique experience at Disney too! 😉
Perfectly Princess Tea Party ✨✨✨
Guess who you get to meet at the Perfectly Princess Tea Party. Aurora and Rose Petal! Little ones are encouraged to dress up like a princess (see my pro tip below) and adults are encouraged to join! I’ll admit right away, this can get a bit pricey, so check it out before you fully get your heart set on it! 🙂 You can also buy gifts for your princess to enjoy, which will add some cost to the experience.
Pro Tip: The Grand Floridian just became the third (and newest) location for Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique (keep reading for more on this)! You can coordinate a morning makeover at the Bibbidi Bobbidi and then follow it with afternoon tea at the Perfectly Princess Tea Party – all at The Grand Floridian (Click here to find out how to stay at the Grand Floridian for up to 65% off of Disney’s rate)!
Wonderland Tea Party at 1900 Park Fare ✨✨✨

Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple
This is super fun AND it’s FREE!! There are a few things you should know: participants must be between 4 and 12 years old. You have to register the day of, as soon as Disney’s Hollywood Studios opens. You can register at the Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost. It’s first come, first serve. This is a show, so if you have shy children, this may not be the unique experience at Disney you want to pick for them.
Sweet Treats Manicure & Pedicure
Is there anything that can make you feel more like a princess than getting a pedicure or going to the spa? Senses Spa at The Grand Floridian has an extra special treat for young ones ages 4-12. Their Sweet Treats Manicure and Pedicure is $35 for a manicure and $50 for a pedicure. Of course, adults can indulge here as well (and will need to be present with young children).
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique ✨✨✨
Of all the unique experiences at Disney, this one is most talked about, and for good reason! The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is where little girls can become princesses (see above picture). Seriously friends, this place is adorable and every little girl’s dream! It isn’t just for girls though! Boys can be transformed into knights in shining armor! Disney recently added another boutique, so there are three to choose from: Disney Springs, Grand Floridian, or Magic Kingdom locations. Disney offers 9 different packages, starting at $74.95 plus tax. Children must be 3 -12 years of age!
