NEW Disney Cruise Ship to Set Sail in Japan!
Disney has announced a groundbreaking agreement with Oriental Land Co., Ltd. (OLC) that will bring year-round Disney cruise vacations to Japan. This development means another new Disney Cruise Ship is on the way!
Disney Cruises Expanding to Japan
Under the new agreement, OLC will operate a Disney-branded cruise business in Japan, expected to launch by early 2029. This dedicated cruise ship will be constructed at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, featuring imaginative designs by Walt Disney Imagineering. Similar to the Disney Wish, this vessel will be approximately 140,000 gross tons, boast around 1,250 staterooms, and be powered by liquefied natural gas. It will feature many favorite venues and experiences from Disney Wish with some special modifications tailored specifically for Japanese guests.
This exciting addition to Disney’s cruise fleet will provide an unparalleled blend of fun, relaxation, and world-class entertainment for Japanese Disney fans and international visitors alike.
