More Reasons to Enjoy the Grand Californian
The Grand Californian is already a popular resort for its beautiful Craftsman style, prime location and private entrance to Disney California Adventure Park, and Tenaya Stone Spa. Soon, there will be even more reasons to love staying at the Grand Californian, from refreshed rooms to big changes for Napa Rose!
Updated DVC Villas
Along with the hotel rooms, the Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian are also set to have its long anticipated hard goods refurbishment in 2025. This entails a full renovation of the rooms, including the furniture, appliances, floors, and decor inspired by the Arts and Crafts period. Disney shared that the updated guest rooms will feature bold colors in the carpets, upholstery, and bedding and accents influenced by the California wildflower blooms of Impressionistic plein air paintings. New artwork commissioned from local plein air painters will be added to the rooms as the perfect complement to the Arts and Crafts theming.
Similar to the other recent DVC renovated rooms, the ones at the Grand Californian will include Murphy beds in place of sofa beds. This will be a welcome change for many guests since the Murphy beds add both greater functionality and comfort to the rooms.
A Redesign of Napa Rose
Disney recently announced that there are some big changes in store for Napa Rose, the Grand Californian’s award-winning fine dining restaurant. The restaurant will be closed this spring and reopen in fall 2025 with a redesign that celebrates California’s wine country. Among the rich details are reclaimed oak flooring and columns that reflect the type of wood used for wine barrels, deep shades of cabernet, and a grapevine-inspired chandelier that combine to create a rustic yet elegant setting.
Other changes announced for Napa Rose are expanded counters for more guests to enjoy the exhibition kitchen and an enhanced outdoor patio that will add more seating and two new fireplaces for cozy al fresco dining.
