As the weather heats up in Florida, pool time may be your go-to resort activity, but there’s another place to cool off that can be a surprising hit: the arcade. Arcades are often open from 8am to 11pm, which also makes them a fun spot to go after visiting the theme parks. Let’s check out all the air-conditioned fun that can be found at the DVC arcades!
Which Disney World DVC Resorts Have Arcades?
You’ll find an arcade at nearly all of the DVC Resorts:
- Animal Kingdom Villas: Jambo House: Pumbaa’s Fun and Games Arcade
- Animal Kingdom Villas: Kidani Village: Safari So Good
- Bay Lake Tower: The Game Station
- Beach Club: Lafferty Place Arcade
- BoardWalk: Side Show Games
- Boulder Ridge and Copper Creek: Buttons & Bells Arcade
- The Cabins at Fort Wilderness: Davey Crockett’s Wilderness Arcade
- Grand Floridian: Arcadia Games
- Old Key West: Electric Eel Gameroom and Flying Fish Gameroom
- Saratoga Springs: Win, Place or Show Arcade
You don’t have to be staying at these resorts to play at the arcades; you can still play as a visitor if you’re resort hopping!
What Kinds of Games Can You Find?
There are games for the whole family at the arcades! You’ll find classics like Pac-Man and pinball, racing games, basketball, photo booths, and crane games with prizes like candy, rubber ducks, and stuffed animals. The crane games are great for little kids since you can keep playing until you win a prize. For younger children, there are even pint-sized racing games in some of the arcades.
How Much Do the Games Cost?
To play the games, you’ll need to pay with credits. Credits can be loaded onto an Arcade Play Card, which can be used at any of the resort arcades. (This is very helpful for split stays or when visiting other resorts!) The more points that you load on to the card, the better the value:
- $5 = 250 points
- $10 = 600 points ($12 value)
- $20 = 1250 points ($25 value)
- $25 = 1750 points ($35 value)
- $50 = 3750 points ($75 value)
To play a game, you’ll need anything from 20 credits for some of the simpler games like the Snow Ball Toss or Skee-Ball to 125 points or more for some of the racing games.

Think you’re ready for a challenge? You can find daily arcade tournaments at Animal Kingdom Villas. Both Pumbaa’s Fun and Games Arcade at Jambo House and Safari So Good at Kidani Village host tournaments at 4pm each day.

If you’re looking for some free play games, stop by the community halls. Some, like the one at the BoardWalk, have arcade games that you can play for free like pinball machines and Ms. Pac-Man. Most community halls also offer video games.
