DVC Resort Activities: Bay Lake Tower
When people think of Bay Lake Tower, most think of its convenient access to the Magic Kingdom or the fireworks views from Top of the World Lounge. However, it’s also home to a great community hall and lots of resort activities thanks to its location along Bay Lake. As a guest at Bay Lake Tower, you also have access to all the amenities of Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Here’s a look at the resort activities at Bay Lake Tower!
Arts and Crafts
Community Hall
Located on the first floor of Bay Lake Tower, the community hall is open from 10am to 10pm daily. There you will find painting, ceramics, DIY crafts, board games, and movies and movie rentals. On Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, the community hall offers Mickey Tie-Dye, so you can create your own t-shirt.
Games
The Game Station Arcade
This arcade is located on the fourth floor of the Contemporary and is open from 10am to 11pm daily. It offers a variety of family friendly video games and hosts the Game Station Arcade Challenge on Mondays and Fridays from 5pm to 6pm.
Poolside Activities
Head to the Bay Cove Pool at Bay Lake Tower for games and dancing in and out of the pool. Poolside activities take place on Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 12:30pm.
Sports and Fitness
Basketball
Play basketball on the full-sized court! You can rent a basketball from the community hall.
Jogging Trail
You’ll find a nearly 1-mile jogging path that loops around Bay Lake Tower and the South Garden Wing.
Olympiad Fitness Center
The fitness center is located on the third floor of the Contemporary and is open 24/7. There are treadmills, stationary bikes, ellipticals, and free weights. You’ll just need to scan your magic band for access.
Volleyball
Play volleyball on the lakeside court! You can check out volleyballs from the Boat Nook Marina using a resort ID.
Tennis and Pickleball
Play tennis and pickleball on the courts next to Bay Lake Tower. You can rent equipment from the community hall.
More Resort Activities
Boat Rentals
Rent a motorized boat from the Boat Nook Marina, and cruise from Bay Lake to the Seven Seas Lagoon.
Cabana Rentals
Feel like spending the day lounging around the pool? Rent a private cabana at Bay Cove Pool. It includes lounge chairs, a television, a mini-fridge with complimentary beverages, and a bluetooth speaker.
Electrical Water Pageant
This water parade across the Seven Seas Lagoon is a nostalgic favorite for many! It is currently running from 8:25pm to 10:30pm daily.
Fishing
Go on a 2-hour or 4-hour guided excursion along Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon to fish for largemouth bass! In addition to a guide, the excursion includes rods and reels, tackle, bait, and non-alcoholic beverages.
Pin Trading
You can trade pins at a few different locations within the Contemporary, including:
- Contempo Cafe
- Chef Mickey’s
- Fantasia (merchandise shop on the fourth floor)
- Fantasia Market
- The Boat Nook Marina
- Community Hall
Movie Under the Stars
At 8pm in the Movie Courtyard, you can catch classic Disney movies. Some currently playing movies are “Beauty and the Beast,” “Winnie the Pooh,” “Mulan,” and “Ratatouille.”
