DVC One Bedrooms That Can Accommodate a Fifth Guest
When you’re researching DVC resorts for your next Disney trip, you may come across an odd note regarding room capacities for certain One Bedroom Villas: “5th Guest can be accommodated but no additional bedding, linens, or towels will be provided.” So what does this actually mean?
This means that you can book the room and list up to five adults on the reservation, but you will have to supply your own sleeping space for the fifth guest.
Which DVC Resorts Have This Layout?
Beach Club Villas, Boulder Ridge Villas, and BoardWalk Villas all have this same caveat when it comes to the capacities of their One Bedroom Villas. Note that at these same resorts, the Dedicated Two Bedroom Villas have a similar issue where a ninth guest can be accommodated but no additional bedding, linens, or towels will be provided.
What Can You Do if You Have a Fifth Guest at These Resorts?
DVC members who book these villas for five guests will often get an air mattress for the fifth guest. While some resorts may have air mattresses or cots available upon request, it’s not a guarantee. It’s a safer bet to bring your own air mattress or order one to be delivered to the resort. Others have been creative and made a makeshift mattress using couch cushions, particularly if the fifth guest is a child.
What if None of Those Options Are Ideal for You?
If you want to stick to the Beach Club, Boulder Ridge, or BoardWalk, you can look into booking a Deluxe Studio since it can sleep five guests without the need to bring your own bedding for the fifth guest.
If you still prefer the amenities of a One Bedroom Villa, look into another resort. Instead of the Beach Club or BoardWalk, consider the Riviera as another EPCOT resort that can sleep up to five guests in its One Bedroom Villas. Instead of Boulder Ridge, check out Bay Lake Tower or the Grand Floridian, both of which are Magic Kingdom resorts that can sleep five guests in their One Bedroom Villas.
Beyond those resorts, you can also find One Bedroom Villas that sleep five guests at Jambo House (except for the Value One Bedroom Villa), Kidani Village, Old Key West, and Saratoga Springs.
