
Disney World Relaxes Mask Policies and Increases Park Capacity
The smiles are returning to Walt Disney World with new relaxed outdoor mask policies and increased park capacity!
As a result of updated guidance from the CDC and the Orange County Florida Department of Health, the Walt Disney World Resort announced late Friday that masks would no longer be required outdoors.
Here are all the important details you should know before your next Walt Disney World vacation!
Mask Requirements
Effective Saturday, May 15th, 2021, guests visiting Walt Disney World will no longer be required to wear a face-covering in outdoor common areas throughout the resort. Don’t throw away that face mask just yet though, as they will still be required when entering queues and throughout all indoor attractions, theaters, transportation, and more. Disney has provided this graphic to easily explain when and where a mask is required:

Park Capacity and Park Pass Availability
In addition to these relaxed mask policies, Walt Disney World has also increased park capacity throughout all four theme parks! New availability within the Disney Park Pass Reservation System appeared late Friday evening for resort hotel guests, ticketed guests, and annual passholders. Availability is changing by the minute, so if you are looking to head to the parks this Summer or Fall be sure to hurry over to your My Disney Experience account!
