July in Orlando means wearing sunscreen and staying hydrated are a must. Summer heat really started to kick in over the last half of June. We expect these conditions to continue in July. Afternoon showers are also a regular occurrence again at this point in the year. Plan accordingly as you make your way around the parks. Here is a list of the new offerings and more of what’s on the Disney World July 2026 schedule of events.

Fourth of July Celebrations at the Parks
America’s 250th anniversary brings some more magic to Disney World this summer. Some offerings like Soarin’ Across America, and more mentioned below, debuted as part of Cool Kids’ Summer. Special red, white, and blue merchandise and treats have already popped up around Walt Disney World Resort.

Magic Kingdom
Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky happens at 9:00 pm on July 3, 4 and 5.
For an extra dose of patriotism, catch the Electrical Water Pageant on the Seven Seas Lagoon or Bay Lake after Magic Kingdom’s fireworks. It features American flags and stars at the end and reflects beautifully on the water.
Epcot
Luminous: The Symphony of Us happens at its regular time of 9:00 pm but is followed by the Heartbeat of Freedom fireworks tag at around 9:15 pm on July 3, 4 and 5.

Cool Kids’ Summer Happenings at Disney World in July
This seasonal fun overlay continues at Walt Disney World Resort with magic geared toward little ones. Cool Kids’ Summer brings something extra to certain resorts and all four parks.
- Animation Courtyard at Hollywood Studios: Characters like Pluto, Goofy, Stitch, Chip, Dale, Donald, Rapunzel, Mulan and Moana can be spotted roaming this space, playing games and taking pictures. There’s also an outdoor juggling show, jump rope show and band performance.
- Bluey at Animal Kingdom: The Wildlife Express Train in the Africa area of the park will take you to Bluey’s Wild World at Conservation Station where you can expect dancing, games like Keepy Uppy and animals native to Australia.
- GoofyCore at Epcot: Join Goofy for indoor games and fun inside Epcot’s CommuniCore Hall in the middle of the park.
- Jesse’s Roundup at Magic Kingdom: Inside the Diamond Horseshoe venue in Frontierland, Jesse, Woody and Bullseye host singing, dancing, games and more.
When Does the Animation Building Open at Hollywood Studios?
Some of the characters that meet in the Animation Courtyard will have a permanent meet and greet space inside The Magic of Disney Animation building when it opens.
As of early July, no opening date has been announced.
Only “late summer” has been shared for the opening time period.
Now Open: La Poutinerie at Epcot
Over at Epcot, the Refreshment Port walk up window has been replaced with a new Canadian themed offering. This makes sense as it’s located at the entrance of the Canada pavilion.
Menu items include:
- Québec L’Authentique which is a traditional poutine dish of French fries, cheese curds and brown gravy.
- Montreal Viande Fumée which includes French fries, cheese curds, smoked meat, pickles and mustard gravy.
- Drinks for all include the non-alcoholic Spiced Apple Slushy.
- Drinks for grownups include the Spiced Apple Mule and Canadian beer selections.
Both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach are Open
While the temperatures are so high, remember both of Walt Disney World Resort’s water parks are open this summer. With afternoon storms happening regularly, you may want to plan an early morning visit before storms roll in.
What’s New for Summer 2026
In addition to the Cool Kids’ Summer offerings mentioned above, here are some things that reopened or debuted recently:
- Big Thunder Mountain Railroad reopened after extensive refurbishment.
- The Mandalorian and Grogu debuted on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.
- Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! opened at Hollywood Studios.
- Soarin’ Across America celebrates the 250th anniversary of the United States of America.
- Disney resort guests can get into a water park for free on their check-in day through Sept. 8.
