Celebrate the Holidays in Disneyland

November 6, 2023
By

From November 10, 2023 to January 4, 2024, guests can celebrate the holidays at Disneyland Resort!  Here’s a look at some of the fun festivities you can find throughout the season.

Head over to Disney California Adventure for Disney Festival of Holidays. The festival is inspired by Christmas, Navidad, Diwali, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Three Kings Day traditions.  At the festival, you’ll find special food and beverages, music, and performances.  You can also catch “Mickey’s Happy Holidays” and watch as Disney and Pixar characters march to the drummings of the Holiday Toy Drummers.

Disney ¡Viva Navidad!

Disney ¡Viva Navidad! returns to Paradise Gardens Park in Disney California Adventure in November.  This street party features the Three Caballeros, Mexican folklórico dancers and mariachis, Brazilian samba dancers and percussionists, mojiganga puppets, and Mickey and Minnie in special holiday outfits.  There will also be appearances by characters such as Maribel from “Encanto.”

Holiday Decorations and Attraction Overlays

You’ll find beautiful holiday decorations throughout Disneyland Resort!  Sleeping Beauty Castle transforms for winter with snow-capped turrets and icicles.  Downtown Disney, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, and Disneyland Hotel each have uniquely themed ornaments. The Grand Californian even has a large gingerbread house in its lobby.

Some of your favorite attractions will also be decked out for the holidays. Be sure to check out “it’s a small world” Holiday, the “Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas” overlay for Haunted Mansion Holiday, Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl, and Mater’s Jingle Jamboree.

Holiday Entertainment

Besides fun photo ops with Santa and Mickey and his friends in their holiday attire, you can enjoy seasonal spectaculars. These include “A Christmas Fantasy Parade,” the “Believe…In Holiday Magic” fireworks show, and “World of Color – Season of Light” in Paradise Bay at Disney California Adventure.

If you would like to visit Disneyland for the holiday season, rent points to stay at the Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa or the brand new Villas at Disneyland Hotel, and be right in the middle of all the merriment!
