Who Should Rent DVC Points?

Did you know that you don’t have to be a DVC Member to rent DVC points?  Anyone can rent DVC points!  With this in mind, there are a few groups of people who may benefit the most from renting DVC points:

Travel Parties That Need Larger Accommodations

Sometimes renting DVC points makes more sense economically compared to booking multiple hotel rooms.  At more than $400 per night at Disney’s All Star Music Resort and around $600 per night at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, family suites are the only Value Resort rooms that sleep up to 6 guests.  DVC resorts offer Two Bedroom villas that sleep up to 8 or 9 guests or Three Bedroom Grand Villas that sleep up to 12 guests.  Plus, unlike the Value Resorts, you’ll get a full size kitchen, washer, and dryer.

People Who Are Considering Becoming DVC Members

Try before you buy!  You can do all the research you’d like, but there’s nothing better than actually staying at a DVC resort to get an idea of whether or not you would like to become a Member.  This allows you to see firsthand what works (or doesn’t work) for you and your travel party from the room itself down to the dining and transportation options.

DVC admittedly isn’t for everyone.  Sometimes, DVC isn’t a good fit if you don’t stay at Disney resorts at least every other year, you have a hard time planning trips far enough in advance, or you simply don’t want to be obligated to pay annual dues.  However, if you like the DVC resorts and want to stay there without becoming a Member, renting DVC points is a perfect solution.

DVC Members Who Are Out of Points

Once you stay in the DVC villas, sometimes it is hard to go back to regular hotel rooms that do not have all the same amenities.  When DVC Members are short on points but still want to book a DVC stay, renting points is the way to go!  This way, you can get the space and amenities of a DVC villa without paying the high rates of a cash stay booked directly through Disney.

Looking to rent DVC points?  Check availability for future dates, or browse the confirmed reservations that have already been booked by DVC Members.
