Typhoon Lagoon for Toddlers
Disney recently announced that in 2025, guests of Walt Disney World Resorts will have complimentary access to Disney’s water parks, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach, on their check-in day. While Typhoon Lagoon is known for its wave pool and water slides, what kinds of attractions and activities are available for toddlers, so the whole family can enjoy the water park?
Ketchakiddee Creek
Guests under 48” will enjoy Ketchakiddee Creek, a water playground. In the shallow pools there, kids can splash around among animals like crocodiles, seals, and elephants. Aboard the leaky S.S. Squirt tugboat, they can play with water cannons. There’s even a sandy beach for the little ones to play in. Toddlers can also ride a mini inner tube ride and side-by-side mini slides.
Gangplank Falls
At Gangplank Falls, groups of three to five guests can hop in an oversized inner tube and spin along Mount Mayday on this 300-foot whitewater rafting-themed waterslide. The waterfalls and rapids along the way are sure to get everyone wet!
Castaway Creek
This 2,000-foot-long lazy river is for all ages! Guests gently float along rainforest landscapes with mists and waterfalls as they make their way way around Typhoon Lagoon. They can get an inner tube at one of the 5 landings along the lazy river. Baby float tubes are permitted here as long as parents are in contact with the baby float at all times. Guests can also get life jackets free of charge. Note that children under 7 years of age must be accompanied by someone at least 14 years of age.
Miss Adventure Falls
For a more thrilling adventure, families can visit Miss Adventure Falls and ride a four-person raft. Along the way, guests will spot treasure and artifacts from Captain Mary Oceaneer’s global travels that got scattered when she was caught in a typhoon. They may even find her talking parrot.
Bay Slides
The waves of the Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool are too intense for little ones, but they can enjoy the shallow areas outside of the Surf Pool. These spots don’t have any waves, just plenty of sand and water to wade in. They can also enjoy the gentle Bay Slides, which are similar to the more thrilling Storm Slides but for kids under 5 feet tall. Children under 10 years of age must be accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older.
