Free Entry to Disney Water Parks on Check-in Day in 2025

For those looking to book a Disney World vacation in 2025, a new perk has just been announced!  Guests staying at Disney Resort Hotels have free admission to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park or Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park on their check-in day.

Who Is Eligible?

All guests of Disney resorts receive complimentary admission to the water parks on their check-in day.  This includes guests at DVC resorts, whether they are DVC members or not.  So if you are a guest who is renting DVC points, you and anyone in your travel party who is on the resort reservation still receives this perk!

Tips to Make the Most of This Perk

• Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach both typically close by 5pm, so you will need an earlier arrival flight to take advantage of the free admission. This is especially true if you factor in travel time from the airport and from the resort to the water park.  

• The water park perk even applies to single-night stays.  This means that if you plan a split stay for your trip (meaning you stay at more than one resort throughout your vacation), you can take advantage of the complimentary admission for each of your check-in dates.  

• If you plan to hit the water parks while you wait for your room to become available, be sure to check in your luggage with bell services at your resort. They can store your suitcases until you are ready.  Then take any of your water essentials to the park.

• There are no buses that take you directly from the resorts to Typhoon Lagoon.    For Typhoon Lagoon, take the bus from your resort to Disney Springs and transfer to a bus from Disney Springs to Typhoon Lagoon.  Typhoon Lagoon buses start running about 45 minutes prior to the water park opening. They run until about 60 minutes after it closes.
• For Blizzard Beach, there are buses that run directly to the water park from the All-Star Resort hotels and Coronado Springs. From any other resort, take the bus from your resort to Animal Kingdom. Then transfer to a bus from Animal Kingdom to Blizzard Beach.  Blizzard Beach buses start running about 30 minutes before the water park opens. They continue running until about 60 minutes after it closes.
