Free Entry to Disney Water Parks on Check-in Day in 2025

If you’re planning a Disney World vacation this summer or later in 2025, there’s an exciting perk you should absolutely take advantage of: free admission to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach Water Park on your check-in day at a Disney Resort Hotel!

Who Is Eligible?

All guests of Disney resorts receive complimentary admission to the water parks on their check-in day.  This includes guests at DVC resorts, whether they are DVC members or not.  So if you are a guest who is renting DVC points, you and anyone in your travel party who is on the resort reservation still receives this perk!

Even more exciting is that starting May 21, 2025, both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon will be open for the summer season! For the first time in years, guests can choose between two amazing water park experiences to kick off their Disney vacation.

Tips to Make the Most of This Perk

Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach generally close by 5:00 PM, so arriving early is key if you want to take full advantage. Consider scheduling a morning or early afternoon flight so you can maximize your time soaking up the sun and sliding into vacation mode.

One of the best ways to take full advantage of this perk? Plan a split stay. Because this perk applies to each resort check-in day, guests with multiple resort stays during their trip can enjoy free water park admission more than once! For example, if you stay two nights at one resort and two nights at another, you’ll receive complimentary water park access on both of your check-in days. That’s double the splash, without double the cost!

If you’re planning to hit the slides before your room is ready, just leave your luggage with bell services and bring a day bag with your swim essentials.

Getting There

• Typhoon Lagoon: No direct bus from resorts. Take a bus to Disney Springs, then transfer to the Typhoon Lagoon bus. Buses run 45 minutes before opening to 60 minutes after closing.
• Blizzard Beach: Direct buses run from All-Star Resorts and Coronado Springs. From other resorts, take a bus to Animal Kingdom and transfer. Buses begin 30 minutes before opening.
