Studio vs One Bedroom Villas: Which Is Right for You?

May 7, 2026
By

With Disney Vacation Club (DVC) you have options with room styles. Members love the economic yet enhanced studio style accommodations. There are also benefits to the one bedroom villas. When comparing DVC studio vs one bedroom villas the biggest differences will be the kitchen, amount of space and privacy and number of points they each cost.

Comparing DVC Studio vs One Bedroom Villas

What are DVC studios like?

DVC studios are the most popular room style and there are the most of them available. They typically sleep four but many sleep 5. It varies by resort.

Studio villas are closest to a standard hotel room but they usually feature a kitchenette. Many studios have a pull-down queen size bed that reveals a couch when away.

Not all studios sleep a minimum of four. Riviera has a Tower Studio but that sleeps two guests per room.

A DVC studio might be the best option for you if:

  • You want to spend the lowest number of points.
  • You have four or five guests.
  • A kitchenette is suitable for your needs.
  • A regular hotel room size fits your preference.

What are one bedroom villas like?

DVC one bedroom villas have a separate bedroom with a door, a full kitchen and a few have a washer and dryer. There’s also a living room.

Sleeping arrangements and the number of guests differ at each resort.

A DVC one bedroom villa might be the best option for you if:

  • You want a separate bedroom for some of your party or additional space overall.
  • A full kitchen or washer and dryer would enhance your stay.
