Saratoga Springs: A Hidden Gem for Pool Lovers
Whenever someone asks about DVC resorts with the best pools, the obvious answer is always Disney’s Beach Club Villas. Its 3-acre feature pool, Stormalong Bay, is similar to a mini water park, complete with a shipwreck-themed slide and lazy river. However, one DVC resort that doesn’t get enough attention for its pools is Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. With its 2 feature pools and 3 leisure pools, Saratoga Springs has a lot to offer.
High Rock Spring Pool
This zero-entry feature pool is themed after a natural hot spring and is located at the Carriage House (the main building with the lobby) and close to the Springs section of the resort. The pool has a 128-foot slide, waterfalls, and 2 whirlpool spas. There is also a kids’ water play area featuring Donald Duck with a miniature water slide and bubbling geysers. Throughout the day, you’ll also find pool games and activities here.
Because of its convenient location at the Carriage House, the High Rock Spring Pool is close to Artist’s Palette and Turf Club for dining. There is also the On the Rocks Pool Bar where you can get both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
Paddock Pool
Located in the Paddock section of the resort, this is the secondary feature pool. It is a zero-entry pool with a water tower-themed water slide that is 146-feet long. As with the High Rock Spring Pool, there are pool games and activities held here throughout the day.
There is also a large horseshoe-shaped whirlpool spa and a kids’ water play area with two slides. Since this area is fenced in, it makes it easier for parents to keep an eye on their kids. The nearby Paddock Grill offers drinks or a quick bite (burgers, sandwiches, and salads).
Leisure Pools at Disney’s Saratoga Springs
Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort also features three quiet leisure pools. The first of these can be found in the Grandstand section of the resort has a whirlpool spa and a barbeque grilling area. The kids’ water play area is themed after a racetrack and has a starting gate that sprays water and horseheads that can be used as water guns. Closeby, you’ll find the Backstretch Bar for a poolside drink or snack.
Like the Grandstand Pool, the resort’s Congress Park section also features another quiet pool with a whirlpool spa and barbeque grilling area.
The final quiet pool is located in the south loop of the Treehouse Villa section and has a whirlpool spa.

*Note: From October 3 to mid-December 2022, the Congress Park and Treehouse Villa leisure pools will be closed for refurbishment. Shuttle service will be available from 10am to 5pm daily between the Treehouse Villas and High Rock Spring Pool. Also, from early January to late-March 2023, High Rock Spring Pool and On the Rocks Pool Bar will be closed as the pool is refurbished.
