Pirates of the Caribbean Ride to Close for Refurbishment this Summer
Rumor has it that the Pirates of the Caribbean ride will close for refurbishment from May 11th through September 25th, 2015.
Apparently there has been many problems with new boats & the ride track which have caused ride issues and safety concerns.

This past summer, a rider lost the tips of his ring and pinky fingers when the new boat he was riding rubbed against the older ride track. Recently, guests were not permitted to sit in the last row of the boats to ensure safety.
The new boats have also had problems with many taking on water or severe damage while riding along the ride-path. Guests have complained about getting much wetter on the ride than in years past, as the boats roughly passed through the turn in the track following the ride’s one drop.
