NEW DVC Cabins Coming to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort

Disney Vacation Club (DVC) is coming to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground!

Walt Disney World Resort and Disney Vacation Club have announced plans to revamp the existing cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. The proposed plans include building over 350 new cabins with energy-efficient features and spacious accommodations, sleeping up to six adults, featuring a bedroom, bathroom, living room, full kitchen, and private patio.

Dog lovers should be excited because the new DVC Fort Wilderness Cabins will be the first dog-friendly Disney Vacation Club property.

“For more than 50 years, Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground has offered guests the opportunity to explore nature with their loved ones while staying in the heart of Walt Disney World Resort,” said Bill Diercksen, senior vice president and general manager of Disney Vacation Club. “We’re excited to continue to build upon the resort’s rich legacy and elevate the cabin experience for our Members and all guests to enjoy for years to come.”

Located across 750 acres of scenic woodlands and in the heart of Walt Disney World Resort, The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort – A Disney Vacation Club Resort is expected to open in 2024 and will offer guests easy access to theme parks, horseback riding, fishing, walking trails, pools, playgrounds, and rootin’ tootin’ dining and entertainment. The proposed cabin designs draw inspiration from the resort’s idyllic setting and unique culture and heritage through the magic of Disney storytelling.

Additional improvements will be made throughout Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort as part of this exciting project, including pool and trail enhancements, as well as new and updated dining experiences.

This new project is anticipated to open in 2024 and will be the 17th Disney Vacation Club resort.
