Must-do Disney Dinner: Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood
In my mind, a meal on Walt Disney World property always has the potential to be a good time. What’s not to love about having the chance to have dinner in the magic of Disney, after all? And, of course, as all things go, you win some, and you lose some. That being said, there’s one restaurant on Walt Disney World property that always provides me with a delicious meal, gracious service, and an elevated atmosphere. It’s Toledo – Tapas, Steaks & Seafood at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort.
Elevated Atmosphere
The stage is set even before ascending to the 16th floor of Gran Destino Tower. Upon entering the tower, guests are greeted with Spanish touches everywhere. Cast members welcome you, as does a grand, sunken lobby. There’s a laid-back elegance and energy in the air, and it’s intoxicating.

The restaurant itself is lovely. The ceiling, created to replicate the Barcelona evening sky, is bathed in gradient color that changes throughout your meal. Raised planters house real trees, and diners are treated to views of Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, and a bit of the Magic Kingdom. An open kitchen keeps guests connected to those creating Toledo’s inventive dishes. The environment is enchanting, and the atmosphere is thick with an approachable elegance and warmth.
Delicious Meal
The best advice I can give you for a meal at Toledo is to come hungry. The menu will offer you everything from charred octopus to a brand-new smoked pork chop to Spanish coffee, and it’ll all combine to be an experience you won’t soon forget.

My favorite entree at Toledo is their Filet Mignon ($38). I have long sung the praises of this steak and its affordable price tag. Thanks to a new chef, the menu has recently received tweaks here and there, and the filet is now served atop a bed of mashed potatoes with a fig demi glace rather than a potato puree and fig jam. That being said, the changes were fine by me. Give me that glorious steak and I’m a happy camper.

On our most recent visit, my hubby chose the new Smoked Pork Chop ($34). Friends, this is a thick and perfectly prepared pork chop that’s spent 4 hours in a sous vide and then smoked to finish things off. It’s topped with fried chorizo and rests on a bed of spinach fonduta. To say this dish was good is a gross understatement. It was amazing.

In the tapas and starters category, you simply cannot go wrong with The Spaniard for Two. It’s a large wooden platter filled with the most glorious selection of Spanish meats, cheeses, olives, and honey-bathed crisp bread. It’s worth every penny of its $38 price tag.

If you’re in the mood for adventure, the Charred Octopus ($17) is known for being delicious for very good reason.

Please do not miss the shareable sides when you dine at Toledo (remember, I told you to come hungry). The Brussels Sprouts ($8.5) are sweet and toasty, the yummy Braised Gigante Beans ($8.50) come in a tomato sauce and Patatas Bravas ($8.50) aren’t to be skipped. They’re lightly fried with a new green sauce that features a slight kick.

For me, dessert at Toledo consists of a Cafe Bombon (Spanish coffee with sweetened condensed milk) and the Classic Crema Catalana ($8.50). This dessert is akin to a creme brûlée, and the Valencia orange notes absolutely sing. There’s no better ending to a meal on Walt Disney World property as far as I’m concerned.
Gracious Service
I’ve yet to have a server at Toledo who didn’t offer the most kind and attentive welcome. The cast members help to set the tone, and it’s readily apparent that they take great pride in the restaurant and its offerings. And rightly so.
If you have a free night and you’re looking for a reservation to round out your next Disney visit, please, please head to Toledo. I might be at the table next to you eating my weight in Spanish cheese and loving every minute of it.
