More LIVE Entertainment is Returning to Walt Disney World
This weekend’s Destination D23 event included all kinds of exciting Disney Parks news! I’m personally excited about all of the live entertainment that will soon be coming to the Walt Disney World Resort.
Let’s take a look at the NEW and returning entertainment that will be a part of Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration!
“Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond!”
Coming to Theater in the Wild at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in 2022 is a brand new reimagined musical! “Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond!” catches us up with the fish from Dr. P. Sherman’s office as they share the story of Nemo and how they ended up all the way across the ocean to California. Fans who loved the original “Finding Nemo: The Musical” at Animal Kingdom will not want to miss this new show. The musical even incorporates many of the fan-favorite songs from the original show!
“Fantasmic!” Returns to Hollywood Studios
As day turns to night at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Mickey Mouse will once again take us on the journey of “Fantasmic!”. This nighttime spectacular returns in 2022 with an all-new sequence of stunts, special effects, and fireworks!
“Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire”
Live entertainment will also return to the Cinderella Castle Forecourt Stage next year at Magic Kingdom! An all-new enhanced version of “Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire” returns for the 50th Anniversary celebration. Mickey Mouse and Friends will dazzle in their new EARidescent fashions. The show will also include a brand-new original song entitled “Where the Magic Feels Like Home.”
Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade
Cavalcades are here to stay at Walt Disney World, including the NEW Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade! Traveling the parade route at Magic Kingdom later this winter, this new cavalcade will feature some of your favorite Disney characters. This includes Nick and Judy from “Zootopia,” José Carioca and Panchito from “The Three Caballeros,” Miguel from “Coco,” and more!
Disney “Festival of Fantasy” Parade
Last but certainly not least, Disney’s “Festival of Fantasy” Parade will once again travel down Main Street U.S.A. in early 2022! Join your favorite Disney Characters as they embark on a celebration of color, fantasy, and share the spirit of Disney’s Magic Kingdom.
