Booking your Disney vacation with DVC Rental Store is just the beginning. Once your reservation is secured, there are still plenty of options to customize and enhance your stay. As we conclude our 5-Part Guest Education Series, we wanted to cover some of the most common requests and questions from our Guests, including adding a Disney Dining Plan, making guest list changes, and other essential information.
We allow for one complimentary guest list change, and additional changes can be made for a small service fee.
Adding a Disney Dining Plan to Your Reservation
Want to enjoy an all-inclusive dining experience during your Disney trip? You can add a Disney Dining Plan to your DVC Rental Store reservation, giving you the convenience of pre-paid meals and snacks at your favorite Disney restaurants.
How to Add a Disney Dining Plan:
- Log In to Your Guest Center: Visit the DVC Rental Store Guest Center and navigate to your upcoming reservation, located under the “Upcoming Vacations” tab.
- Request the Dining Plan: Submit a request for the Disney Dining Plan of your choice—Quick Service Dining Plan or Standard Disney Dining Plan.
- Payment: You will provide payment for the Disney Dining Plan via one of our accepted payment methods. Please be advised that full payment is due at the time of purchase.
- Member Confirmation: Our team will coordinate with the DVC Member who booked your reservation to add the Dining Plan to your reservation for you.
Important Things to Know:
- The Disney Dining Plan can be added to your reservation up to 30 days before your date of arrival.
- You do not need to purchase theme park tickets to use the Disney Dining Plan, unless you plan to dine at in-park restaurants.
- Our team will guide you through the process and ensure everything is set for your magical dining experience.
- The Disney Dining Plan will not be visible in your My Disney Experience account, but will be linked to your hotel reservation. Our team will provide you with confirmation that the Member has added this to your reservation once purchased.
Making Guest List Changes
Travel plans can change, and you may need to update your guest list before your trip. We allow for one complimentary guest list change, and additional changes can be made for a small service fee.
How to Make Guest List Changes:
- Reply to Your Reservation Email: Simply reply to any email you’ve received regarding your reservation to begin a Guest List change request.
- Submit a Request: Let us know the changes you need, such as adding or removing guests from your reservation, in the email you send our team.
- Our Team Will Confirm: We will contact the DVC Member to update the guest list with Disney Vacation Club Member Services.
Guidelines for Guest List Changes:
- You are allowed one free guest list change. Additional changes will incur a $50 service fee.
- Changes must be requested at least 30 days before check-in.
- Guest list changes are subject to Member availability and Disney’s policies.
- The primary or “lead guest” information on a reservation cannot be changed once a reservation has been secured.
Requesting Special Room Locations or Amenities
Want a room in a specific area or building of a resort? You can request special room locations and amenities to make your stay even more enjoyable.
How to Request Special Room Locations:
- Submit Your Request: Let us know your preferences, such as a room near transportation, a ground-floor villa, or a specific building at the Resort.
- We’ll Coordinate: Our team will work with the DVC Member to request these preferences with Disney Vacation Club Member Services.
- Disney’s Availability: While we do our best to pass along your requests, please keep in mind that they are not guaranteed by Disney.
Purchasing Disney World and Universal Orlando Tickets
Planning to visit the theme parks during your stay? Theme park tickets are purchased separately from your DVC Rental Store reservation.
For Walt Disney World oe Universal Orlando tickets, you can purchase directly through Walt Disney World or through a reputable third-party ticket provider.
We recommend reviewing current ticket options, pricing, and any available promotions before purchasing so you can choose the option that works best for your vacation plans.
Once your tickets are purchased, be sure to follow the applicable theme park instructions for linking them to your account and preparing for your visit.
Modifying or Extending Your Reservation
One of the most common questions we receive is whether you can modify or extend your DVC Rental Store reservation. While we wish we could provide total flexibility, DVC Rentals are a bit different from traditional hotel bookings.
Why Modifications Can Be Difficult:
- DVC Availability is Limited: DVC operates on a timeshare system, meaning rooms and dates can be booked out far in advance.
- Members Have Limited Points: The DVC Member who booked your reservation has a set number of points they can use, which does not allow for changes.
- Reservation Change Policy: Because of these limitations, we treat any requested date changes as a cancellation, subject to our cancellation policies.
