How to Order a Cake at Disney World

March 11, 2024
By

Every day at Disney World is magical, but occasions like birthdays and anniversaries are extra special and deserve a cake to celebrate!  If you’re looking for a cake for a special occasion, you have a few different options while on Disney property.

The standard cake is a dome-shaped mousse cake with Mickey ears for $39.  It’s big enough to feed 4 to 6 people and comes in chocolate or white chocolate. It can either say “Happy Birthday” or “Congratulations” on one of the ears.  You can find these cakes at many of the refrigerated cases at the resort quick service restaurants.

You can also add the cake to certain dining reservations when you make your advanced dining reservation in the My Disney Experience app.  Otherwise, you can call 407-WDW-DINE to request one of these cakes to be delivered to most Disney-owned-and-operated table service restaurants.

Custom Cakes

Custom cakes currently come from the Grand Floridian Bakery or the Contemporary Bakery.  The bakery that you order from depends on where the cake needs to be delivered.  Plan to order your cake at least 72 hours in advance.

With either bakery, there are no specific designs to choose from, but you can tell the bakery if you have a certain theme or character in mind.  The cast members can help guide you on what cake sizes, cake flavors, fillings, and options (e.g., white chocolate characters) are available.

Contemporary Bakery

The Contemporary Bakery can deliver cakes to the Contemporary, Bay Lake Tower, Fort Wilderness, and Wilderness Lodge.  To contact the Contemporary Bakery, call 407-824-2955 and leave a message.  A cast member will call you back to take your order.

Grand Floridian Bakery

The Grand Floridian Bakery delivers to most Disney-owned-and-operated resorts and table service restaurants except:

  • Areas of Coronado Springs other than Gran Destino Tower
  • Bay Lake Tower
  • Contemporary
  • Disney Springs
  • Fort Wilderness
  • Wilderness Lodge
  • Restaurants in the theme parks

To contact the Grand Floridian Bakery, call 407-824-2474 or email wdw.dl-gf.pd.requests@disney.com.  If you are not staying at the Grand Floridian or dining at any of the restaurants to which it can deliver cakes, you also have the option of picking up the cake at the Grand Floridian.

Cakes to Be Delivered to Disney Springs Restaurants

Since the restaurants at Disney Springs are not Disney-owned-and-operated, the options above don’t apply.  However, you can order a custom cake from Amorette’s Patisserie and have it delivered to a Disney Springs restaurant.  Call 407-934-3500 to order.

Alternatively, you can order a cake from Erin McKenna’s Bakery (see details below) or cupcakes from Sprinkles Cupcakes.  For Sprinkles Cupcakes, call 407-560-9192.  There is a $15 delivery fee for the cupcake delivery.
