How to Get Professional Photography Sessions at Disney World

Walt Disney World is the perfect place for celebrating special occasions, and what is a better way to capture those memories than a photography session? Other than for Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings, you can’t hire third-party photographers to take professional photos on Disney World Property.  However, Disney is now offering 40-minute Signature Portrait Sessions at select Disney Resort hotels.

Where Can You Be Photographed?

Disney is currently piloting the Signature Portrait Sessions, so there are only two options. You can choose between the sophisticated and elegant Grand Floridian and the tropical Polynesian. Within these resorts, you can select a variety of indoor or outdoor locations.

How Much Does It Cost and What’s Included?

Signature Portrait Sessions cost $399, which is due when you book them. Besides the 40-minute photo session, that fee includes access to special props, photo retouching, and downloads of the images.  

How Do You Reserve a Photography Session?

You can book a session by emailing [email protected] up to 60 days in advance. When you reach out, include your preferred date and time. While there aren’t set dates and times to choose from, the Signature Portrait Experience Team will try their best to accommodate your preferred date and time.  

How Does This Compare to the Capture Your Moment Sessions?

While the Signature Portrait Sessions are specific to the resorts, Capture Your Moment photo sessions are specific to the theme parks. You can choose Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, or Animal Kingdom. Capture Your Moment is cheaper at $99, but it is only 20 minutes instead of 40.  In addition, photos are not included in the price of Capture Your Moment, so you have to pay for that separately unless you already have Memory Maker or an annual pass with the PhotoPass benefit.
