Getting a Haircut at Harmony Barber Shop at the Magic Kingdom
Many of the businesses along Main Street, U.S.A. are merely facades, but did you know that there is an actual barber shop? Tucked into the front of Main Street, U.S.A. next to the Emporium is the quaint Harmony Barber Shop.
Services Offered
At the old-fashioned Harmony Barber Shop, the cast members offer haircuts for guests of all ages! They offer haircuts for children ages 9 and under, haircuts for adults, beard trims, and an extra magical first haircut package for babies or toddlers that includes a commemorative Mickey ear hat, keepsake lock of hair, and an official certificate. Kids and adults alike can also get a little touch of pixie dust with some sparkles added to their hair.
The incredibly patient cast members are especially great with the youngest guests. They know just how to work with little ones, whether it means letting them sit on their parent’s lap during the haircut or distracting them with bubbles or toys.
Pricing
Compared to the pricing for other Enchanting Extras at Disney World, the pricing for Harmony Barber Shop is pretty reasonable with a child’s haircut starting at $20, an adult’s haircut starting at $21, and a beard trim starting at $8. A first haircut package starts at $28. These prices do not include tips, which are cash only.
Making an Appointment
Open seven days a week from 9am to 4:45pm, the barber shop offers a limited number of walk up appointments every day. Due to the small size of the barber shop and its popularity, it’s best to make an appointment. Like other Enchanting Extras, appointments for the barber shop can be made online up to 60 days in advance.
Prepping for an Appointment
Guests need to arrive early and check in 15 minutes before their appointment. They may be asked to show the reservation confirmation, photo ID, and credit card used to book the appointment.
Even with an appointment, guests still need valid park admission to enter the Magic Kingdom. Guests should come to the appointment with clean, dry hair since the cast members will not shampoo the guests’ hair.
