Experiences at Disney World for Little Kids

January 11, 2024

Whether you are a frequent visitor to Disney World, or you are looking to do something different for a special occasion, trying a new experience can be a lot of fun.  However, many tours and other add-ons have age restrictions.  Here are a few ideas to add a new experience to your Disney trip that’s fit for the youngest kids in your family!

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

Bibbity Bobbity Boutique in Magic Kingdom can transform your little one into a princess or knight!  Guests can choose from a variety of packages that include treatments like hair styling, makeup, costumes, and accessories.  Cost depends on the package chosen and can range from $99.95 plus tax to $450 plus tax.  Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is very popular, so reservations are highly recommended.  They can be made online. Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is offered for children ages 3 to 12.

Dessert Parties

Dessert parties are a fun way for guests of all ages to enjoy fireworks at the Magic Kingdom!  There are three different dessert party options: Seats & Sweets, Pre-Party, or After Party.  All of the options include a dessert buffet at Tomorrowland Terrace with sweets, a few savory options, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Seats & Sweets includes a reserved table at Tomorrowland Terrace from which you can watch the fireworks whereas the other two options offer a standing viewing area in the Plaza Garden.  Pre-Party guests enjoy the dessert buffet prior to fireworks, and After Party guests enjoy their desserts after the fireworks end.  Seats & Sweets costs $119 to $129 per adult and $75 per child (ages 3 to 9).  The Pre-Party and After Party cost $99 to $109 per adult and $59 per child (ages 3 to 9).  All of the dessert parties can be booked online

Caring for Giants

For little ones who love animals, there’s the Caring for Giants tour in Animal Kingdom.  This one-hour guided tour gives guests a closer look at the elephants, their care, and conservation efforts to protect wild elephants.  Kids as young as 4 may join the tour.  The tour costs $39 per person before tax and can be reserved online.

Behind the Seeds

Another tour open to preschool-aged children is Behind the Seeds in EPCOT.  This one-hour walking tour takes guests backstage into the four greenhouses of The Land Pavilion that you see when riding Living with the Land.  A cast member will teach guests about the fish farm, unusual crops from around the world, and the latest plant-growing techniques.  Behind the Seeds is $39 to $45 per person before tax and can be booked in advance online.  Participants must be at least 3 years of age.

Pony Rides at Fort Wilderness

At a stable near Pioneer Hall at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, young children can go for pony rides.  These rides are offered on a walk-in basis only and cost $10 per person.  To ride, kids must be at least 3 years of age, under 80 pounds, and no taller than 48”, and a parent or guardian must lead the pony.

Book your next trip, and rent a stay at a DVC resort!  By renting points, you can save up to 65% less than cash stays through Disney, which saves you more money for experiences.
