DVC Villas with Murphy Beds
Many of the latest refurbishments among the DVC resorts have included the addition of Murphy beds to replace the sofa beds in the villas. These comfier beds have been a welcome change for many guests. Since not every DVC resort has Murphy beds, below is a list of where you can find them.
Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
This resort was the first to have a refurbishment that included Murphy beds. You’ll find them in the Deluxe Studios, One Bedroom Villas, Two Bedroom Villas, and Three Bedroom Grand Villas. However, note that as of fall 2023, the Treehouse Villas have not been refurbished. They still have sofa beds.
Disney’s Riviera Resort
As one of the newer DVC resorts, Riviera has had Murphy beds since it opened. You can find Murphy beds in all of the accommodations at Riviera, from the Tower Studios to the Three Bedroom Grand Villas.
Disney’s Polynesian Villas and Bungalows
As the hotel side of the Polynesian was refurbished in 2021, the villas received a soft goods refurbishment that included Murphy beds. This includes both the Deluxe Studios and Bora Bora Bungalows.
The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
As the Resort Studios in the Big Pine Key building were added to the Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the original DVC building at the Grand Floridian underwent a soft goods refurbishment. During this time, all of the Deluxe Studios, One Bedroom Villas, Two Bedroom Villas, and Three Bedroom Grand Villas received Murphy beds. Note that the Resort Studios are the only room type without Murphy beds.
Boulder Ridge Villas
In 2023, the Boulder Ridge Villas had a full refurbishment. While most rooms now have Murphy beds in place of sofa beds, there are a few exceptions. Some rooms on the upper floors still have sofa beds in order to accommodate the sloping ceilings.
The Villas at Disneyland Hotel
As the newest DVC resort, the Villas at Disneyland Hotel features Murphy beds in each of its room types.
Disney’s Beach Club Villas
The 2023 soft goods refurbishment of the Beach Club Villas has led to the addition of Murphy beds for all room types. As of fall 2023, this refurbishment is nearly complete.
Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort
As of fall 2023, the first building (Building 19) at Hilton Head Island Resort has been fully refurbished and now includes Murphy beds. The refurbishment of Buildings 30 and 31 began at the same time as Building 19 and should be completed soon. The refurbishment of the entire resort, including the lobby and common spaces, is expected to be finished in early 2024.
Disney’s Vero Beach Resort
Vero Beach is currently undergoing a soft goods refurbishment and will soon have Murphy beds. Guests have already started to stay in the newly renovated rooms as of fall 2023.
