DVC Resort Activities: Old Key West
Many guests enjoy staying at Disney’s Old Key West Resort for its laid back atmosphere and location near Disney Springs, but did you know that you can also enjoy lots of recreational activities at the resort?
Arts & Crafts
Conch Flats Community Hall
Old Key West has a great community hall with foosball, ping pong, shuffleboard, video games, arts and crafts, and DVC rentals. The community hall is open from 10am to 10pm daily.
Mickey Tie-Dye
Create your own Mickey tie-dye t-shirt! This activity takes place from 2:30pm to 3:30pm on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays by the Sandcastle Pool.
Make Your Own Play-Doh
On Wednesdays at 2:30pm to 3:30pm, create your own play-doh by the Sandcastle Pool.
Parties
Ahoy Mateys Mondays
On Mondays at 7:45pm, visit the Turtle Krawl for bingo, trivia, a quest to find treasure, and more!
Sunset Celebration Fridays
Inspired by the festival at Mallory Square Dock in Key West, Florida, this celebration just before sunset includes dancing, activities, and crafts by the Turtle Krawl.
Poolside Parties
From 12:30pm to 1pm and 2pm to 2:30pm each day, take part in family-friendly activities like games, trivia, and relays by the Sandcastle Pool.
Other Recreational Activities
Basketball
Play basketball on the courts near Hospitality House. You can rent basketballs from Hank’s Rent ‘N Return.
Bike Rentals
Head to Hank’s Rent ‘N Return to rent bikes or surrey bikes. Surrey bikes are for 2 or 4 people. You can ride along the golf fairways and canals on the resort grounds.
Fishing
Go on a 2- or 4-hour guided bass fishing excursion. Included with the excursion are rods and reels, bait, tackle, and soft drinks. Make a reservation by calling 407-939-FISH.
Movies Under the Stars
Catch outdoor screenings of favorite Disney movies by the Sandcastle Pool. Movies are shown on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 8:30pm. Recent movies include “Luca,” “101 Dalmatians,” “Lady and the Tramp,” and “The Fox and the Hound.”
Playgrounds
Young guests can enjoy three playgrounds at Old Key West. One is by the main pool, another is in the pool area by Old Turtle Pond, and the third is by the pool area at South Point.
Tennis & Pickleball
You’ll find two tennis courts by the main pool and another court by Turtle Pond Road. Tennis and pickleball equipment is available at Hank’s Rent ‘N Return.
Volleyball
Play beach volleyball on the court near Hospitality House. You can borrow volleyballs from Hank’s Rent ‘N Return.
