DVC Resort Activities: Grand Floridian
The elegant Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is popular for its location along the monorail loop and proximity to the Magic Kingdom, but you don’t have to leave the resort for a fun-filled day. Here are the recreational activities that you can find at the Grand Floridian.
Arts and Crafts
Crafts on the Courtyard Lawn
Various crafts are offered on the lawn at 4pm throughout the week for a fee. On Sundays, you can design your own Mickey ears. On Tuesdays and Saturdays, you can create your own Mickey tie dye shirt. On Thursdays, you can create Disney button art.
Paint Your Disney Story
Visit the Garden View Tea Room between 12pm and 2pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays to paint ceramics. This activity costs $15-$30.
Games
Arcadia Games
Find classic and contemporary games at this arcade located near Gasparilla Island Grill.
Disney Movie Trivia
Test your knowledge of Disney movies with these trivia games at 2:30pm on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays by the Beach Pool.
G-Flo. Glow Party
You’ll find this nighttime party on the Gasparilla Patio at 8pm on Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Lawn Games
Play games on the Courtyard Lawn from 12pm to 7pm daily.
Poolside Games
Join in on games in and out of the Beach Pool from 12pm to 2pm on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Pool Party
Head to the Beach Pool for a pool party at 3:30pm to 4:30pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
White Rabbit’s Pocket Watch Hunt at Beach Pool
Search for one of the White Rabbit’s pocket watches and win a small prize! This game takes place at 3:15pm daily.
Other Recreational Activities
Boat Rentals
Rent a motorized boat for up to 10 guests from the Grand Floridian Marina to cruise around the Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake.
Cabana Rentals
Rent a private cabana by the Beach Pool. It has lounge chairs, a couch, ceiling fan, and TV, and includes a fruit basket, snack basket, soda, water, towels, and complimentary skincare products. To reserve a cabana, call 407-WDW-PLAY up to 60 days prior to your stay.
Electrical Water Pageant
Watch the twinkling floats pass by the resorts on the Seven Seas Lagoon! The Electrical Water Pageant takes place between 8:25pm and 10:30pm.
Fireworks Cruise
Take a chartered boat from the Grand Floridian Marina to see Happily Ever After from the Seven Seas Lagoon! You can have up to 10 guests on a boat. Snacks and soft drinks are included. To reserve a cruise, call 407-WDW-PLAY.
Fishing
Go on a 2- or 4-hour guided bass fishing excursion from the Grand Floridian Marina. The excursion includes a rod, reel, tackle, bait, and soft drinks. Call 407-939-FISH to reserve a fishing excursion.
The Grand Floridian Spa
Pamper yourself with a massage, manicure, or salon treatment at the Grand Floridian Spa. Spa services can be booked online.
Movies Under the Stars
Watch movies on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 8:30pm at the Summerhouse. Current movies shown include “Soul,” “Lady and the Tramp,” “Up,” and “Tangled.”
