The Beach Club Villas is one of the most popular DVC resorts. It’s known for its close proximity to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios as well as its feature pool, Stormalong Bay, but did you know about all the recreational activities the resort offers?
Arts and Crafts
Create Your Own Sea Salt Scrub
From 4pm to 5pm on Sundays and Fridays near Shipwreck Beach, you can make your own sea salt scrub out of Epsom salt and scented essential oils.
Make Your Own Nautical Necklace
Near Shipwreck Beach on Mondays and Wednesdays at 4pm to 5pm, you can create a nautical necklace.
Mickey Tie-Dye
On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 4pm to 5pm, create your own Mickey tie-dye shirt near Shipwreck Beach.
Painting in the Vineyard
These painting classes take place at 4pm on Fridays in the Martha’s Vineyard Lounge. Space in the class is first come, first served. Participants must be ages 12 and up.
Games
Lafferty Place Arcade
You’ll find this arcade near Stormalong Bay, next to Beaches & Cream Soda Shop. It’s open from 8am to 11pm.
Poolside Activities
Cast members lead activities for the whole family at 12:30pm daily at Stormalong Bay.
Other Recreational Activities
Disney Family Wellness Resort Walk/Run
Join this walk/run around Crescent Lake on Fridays at 8am. Registration takes place at 7:45am. The walk/run will start either by Atlantic Dance Hall at the BoardWalk or Bayside Marina at the Yacht Club. Check the recreation activity calendar at the resort or ask a cast member for details.
Fishing
Go on a 2- or 4-hour fishing excursion in Crescent Lake. Included in the excursion is an experienced guide, rod and reel, tackle and bait, and soft drinks. Call 407-939-FISH to make a reservation.
Movie Under the Stars
Head to the beach at 8pm daily for favorite Disney movies like “The Incredibles, “Moana,” “Soul,” “Tarzan,” “Star Wars: A New Hope,” “Luca,” and “The Aristocats.” When there is inclement weather, the movie is shown in the Solarium.
Rent a Motorized Boat
You can rent a boat from Bayside Marina, which is open from 11am to 5pm daily. The pontoon boats fit up to 10 people and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Rent a Cabana
Rent a cabana at Stormalong Bay. These cabanas accommodate up to 6 guests and have lounge chairs, a table, television, mini-fridge with complimentary soda and water, a fruit tray, towels, sunscreen, charging outlets, a safe, and cocktail service. Reserve a cabana up to 60 days prior to your check-in date by calling 407-WDW-PLAY.
Tennis
Play tennis on the court located by the Admiral Pool. Tennis racquets and balls can be rented from Ship Shape Massage and Salon Fitness.
Volleyball
Rent a volleyball from Ship Shape Massage and Salon Fitness, and play beach volleyball on the court near the Tidal Pool.
