Dining at Disney’s BoardWalk: Trattoria al Forno
Right along the lively boardwalk at the BoardWalk Villas, you’ll find Trattoria al Forno. The casual table service restaurant serves Italian cuisine for breakfast and dinner. Let’s take a look at the menu offerings!
Breakfast
When you want something other than the typical eggs, sausage, and Mickey waffles, Trattoria al Forno can be a great choice for breakfast. On the menu are entrees like the Sunrise Breakfast Pizza, Tiramisu Bread Pudding, Caprese Omelet, and Al Forno Eggs with polenta, fennel sausage, tomato sauce, and country bread. A standout item is the hearty Oak-grilled Steak and Eggs with sunny-side up eggs, breakfast potatoes, crispy onions, and Hollandaise sauce.
For those who do want a more classic breakfast, you can still order Two Eggs Your Way with breakfast potatoes, bacon, and sausage and then add the Mickey Shaped Waffle as a side, which comes with two small Mickey waffles.
For beverages, there is a selection of soft drinks, but you can also get a Bloody Mary, Bellini, mimosa, sangria, or the Press Pot Coffee for two with the Trattoria al Forno blend of Joffrey’s Coffee.
In the past, Trattoria al Forno used to host the Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast with Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, Ariel, and Prince Eric. However, the character breakfast has been temporarily unavailable since the pandemic.
Dinner
At dinnertime, you’ll find a variety of appetizers like fried calamari, a charcuterie board, a caprese salad, and mussels. For entrées, there are classic dishes like Parmigiana di Pollo, Veal Osso Buco, and Lasagne al Forno. There is also a selection of pizzas from pepperoni and margherita to the chef’s seasonal pizza selection. For guests with plant-based diets, there is the plant-based bolognese with rigatoni.
To go along with your meal, you can choose from more than 60 different Italian wines from regions like Tuscany, Veneto, and Piedmont. There are also Italian beers, sodas, and signature cocktails. For dessert, there’s Tiramisu, Affogato al Caffe, and Panna Cotta. The restaurant also serves vanilla, milk chocolate, pistachio, and stracciatella house-made gelato.
Overall, Trattoria al Forno offers solid breakfast and dinner entrees for a relatively reasonable price compared to other Disney table service restaurants.
