Construction Begins Soon for Kidani Village Common Areas
While the rooms at Kidani Village just underwent a beautiful refurbishment, more work is scheduled in phases for the lobby and other common areas beginning on August 17, 2026 and running through November 6, 2026. If you have an upcoming stay at Kidani Village, below are the dates and changes to be aware of.
August 17 to October 9, 2026
The main lobby and entrance of Kidani Village will be closed. When checking in, you will go to the Palace Library instead.
August 17 to 28, 2026
Johari Treasures will be closed. This is the gift shop at Kidani Village and also where guests typically fill up any resort refillable mugs. If you’re looking to refill your resort mug while Johari Treasures is closed, you can still head to the Maji Pool Bar at the Kidani Village pool.
September 28 to October 9, 2026
The north side lobby corridor will be closed. (That is the left side of the lobby as you walk into Kidani Village from the front entrance.) This closure also means that the north side lobby elevators on the second floor and the outdoor terrace observation deck located just off the lobby will not be open to guests.
October 26 to November 6, 2026
The south side lobby corridor (the right side as you enter Kidani Village) will be closed. This corridor includes the Community Hall, Safari So Good Arcade, the laundry room, the Palace Library, lobby restrooms, and the other outdoor terrace observation deck.
If you’re looking for crafts and games during this time, you may want to visit Simba’s Cub House and Pumbaa’s Fun and Games Arcade at Jambo House instead. Jambo House is about a 10-minute walk from Kidani Village or a brief shuttle ride away.
